In defence of Baldini, it's not been his job to know anything about our players.
Roma weren't even in Europe last year & he's probably been more concerned with trying to do that job

Give him time to settle in & i'm sure he'll prove to be an asset.

Except the bit about him being a member of the England staff, where it would be his job to know about our English contingent. Many of which we still have now.

He's just passing on information he's been given. If you don't like it or don't agree thats up to you.

come on, it's not my job to know about roma but i could still reel off a list of their players and franco baldini knows a hell of a lot more than me. not to mention he's spent 5 years in this country and will have watched and spent time with the english spurs players - dawson, walker, lennon, parker, huddlestone, defoe etc.

What is his job though? Is it to scout players, deal with contracts, over sea everything, deal with agents?

It really doesn't matter, JJ has basically stated that Baldini knows sod-all about a club he's about to be employed by.

To be fair there is a big difference between being able to reel off a list of players and actually knowing them. I could reel off a list of players but would know them if they bumped into me. That's not to say that you don't know them, but I'm sure you take the point.

JJ is the top dog but find this all very confusing. Given up trying to figure it out. Let's all just judge Baldini on his actions over the next few years.

So Baldini had no communication with our players when he was employed by England? Did Dawson, Parker, Defoe, Walker, Lennon et al give him the cold shoulder when called-up?

He's talking out of his ring piece, let's be honest. As he was about AVB when he got the job - statto and nerd being two of the terms he used in writing him off before he'd even got started. Yeah the guy's info used to be top notch, but since his move to twitter he's been all over the show. Not least this window, claiming that Paulinho was on, then nothing was happening, then it was 'still on' - and that Baldini doesn't know any of our players - amongst other things.

How can he not know any of our players, he was assistant manager for England so he must know our English players and would have seen plenty of epl matches. Makes no sense to me.

It's not like it's been very long since he was in England working for Capello either, non-English players that played PL he'll know about to some degree. Seems like a very odd thing to say about him given that.

Yes but there are different ways of asking a question. People are bordering on being rude now and some have been doing it all day.

Yes being offensive is out of order however I am surprised JJ being so negative towards Baldini before he has even started give him a chance.
