Bubble44 on SO

Here is some gossip for you , my son met a football agent today. He told my son that we had bid £13mill and a certain brazilian goalkeeper for Bernard but it was rejected. He felt that Bernard was more likely to join Spurs rather the Arse or Liverpool.

He also said that he had heard that PSG are going to put a massive bid in for Bale and Levy will find it very difficult to turn it down.

He said that he didn't know anymore than that .

My son checked on google to make sure that he was a agent for the player he said was and it appears that he is.

Now he could have just been winding my son up , who knows

I think we may make 2 more Brazilians - Bernard and I think we'll make one last try of LD if he's still around.
Dunno about Bernard but I agree I think we may still be interested in leandro, especially if we were as close as we were during January to signing him, the pool of too quality strikers reducing day by day, damiao has had reported injuries but this gives levy more scope to negotiate a deal, hope 2-3 top quality players will settle things down

You know what doesn't make sense?
The notion that we switched from Villa to Benteke and now to Bernard.
Totally different types of players. Who is next if Bernard goes tits up?
Will we make a run at James McCarthy then if no, move on to Craig Bellamy then BA Baracus then Josef Stalin, then a statue of Elizabeth the First and when she won't come we'll go hard for Job and a Pillar of Salt.
More failed deals will lead us to bid on the Sphinx and another rejection will lead us to try and seed humanity with help from the Anunnaki.
Lastly God will morph into Glenn Hoddle and we will be back to square one.

Holtby & Sigurdsson aren't central midfielders. They are attacking midfielders, normally played in more advanced roles. Hudd & Livermore are for sale.

I don't want any more cm's either, but mainly because we have good ones in our development group to back up paulinho, dembele & Sandro.

If you listen to the google interview with him he says his prefered (and best) position is deep in the middle so make of that what you want.

I struggle to believe that we're so singular in our approach to transfers going one at a time. Surely we can do more than one meeting in a day? The technology now allows it to happen.

And what a good interview it was too. Love that kid & I hope we get to see him in his preferred position. We only needed about an hour of the recent U21 Internationals to show us what he can really do.

With regards to the latest ITK, can believe it for sure. I flipping knew it wasn't Benteke just trying to get a better deal.

The last couple of sentences worry me, and equally sound very believable ie...traditional Levy methods etc, can't teach a dog new tricks...basically its going to deadline day. Way to go.

As it stands now I only hope that Ade will not be sold and transform to Ade of season 1 with Spurs. If he somehow does that there arent many strikers out there I would play ahead of him in the starting 11.

I can't help feel my summer would be somewhat enhanced if by the grace of God I was transported back to the days of ceefax, or just opening a paper to read player X had signed for us.

This ITK/Internet/technology malarkey is some kind of wind up, surely?

I'm sure heroin is less harmful than this.
