Honestly, we'll need a LB and another defender who is versatile and can play at LB or RB as well as centrally. Then, well, let's face it, if Ade goes we simply have to sign another striker. I'd expect at least 3 more signings at this point, even if they aren't the mega-blockbuster type that has become our forte in the last fortnight.

Might even get Lamela in as well just for a bubble.

But yeah, the squad now as it stands is full of quality and we'll have a strong season. Just need to get in a little insurance now for the inevitable injury crisis all clubs go through at some point.

And his super human ability meant that there was less of a need for creativity. If he goes then we'll need a creator. Willian looks just the ticket.

They are all amazing world-class signings and Daniel/Franco had worked wonders. No one can argue that.

In my opinion, I'd rather keep Bale than sign Willian, Lamela and Coentrao combined. He's a proven star quality in the EPL and he singlehandedly kept us in the hunt for a top 4 spot last season.

it's incorrect to say none of these players are anywhere near Bale's quality. and I think we can all agree that, on footballing ability alone, Bale isn't an £85m player either, as brilliant as he is.

and while we all want/wanted Bale to stay, anyone that thinks replacing one brilliant player (who has made it abundantly clear he wants to leave) with 5 or 6 players of very high quality doesn't know football. we have a monstorus squad if Bale does stay, but we also have a squad significantly better than last year's if he doesn't. we don't need him to "singlehandedly" (a ridiculous notion anyhow) keep us in the hunt for top 4 anymore

Don't think so, but it might mean he couldn't play against Swansea. I think Jovetic was announced before international clearance.
