Steady lad - it won't be that easy - lots of work to be done for AVB

It will take time everybody.

Exactly, its gonna take time for all these players to bed in, we might look a bit dis jointed at times for the first few months, but can see us having a strong end to the season and getting into the top 4, next season could well be the time to really push the likes of citeh, utd and chelski close for the title! :)

It may just be me but I'm not reading POTLs latest utterances as Bale going. If anything the whole "can't believe this is happening" points at Bale staying with Lamela and Willian coming in. Remembering that this is coming from the creme de la menthe of ITKs, a guy who is usually both sombre and to the point, what is he finding difficult to believe? That we would sign Lamela and Willian? After the summer we have had I'm not convinced. Far more difficult to believe would be Lamela, Willian and Bale in the same team.

Is it just me?

I think his statement is that we have just attracted two + world class players with no Champs league etc.

AVB and Baldini seem to have some massive pull in attracting talent. We also have the best training facilities in the planet.

Interesting angle and certainly one to consider but too much smoke for there not to be fire with Bale's imminent depature.

Agree.

IMO - AVB is instantly under pressure to get this team playing. Last year I felt Bale masked a few of his obvious and persistent failings. It's time for him to earn his crust. Baldini and the Bald one have done their jobs.

Yep, if all these signings happen then this season is going to be interesting. How will we handle the pressure? Lost Bale, but a much better squad. No longer will we be seen as an underdog, fighting to break the top four, things will actually be expected of us and with good reason to. CL qualification would be the minimum expected really.

If all this comes to pass, and AVB says there will be more after! then we will have a great bench, no more watching huddlestone waddle on or Dempseys wild 900 yard shots
This. So. Much. This.
Glad other people noticed - infuriating wasn't it. Fair enough for Gareth to do it, but not you Clint!!!!

As for the ITK. Most exciting week i've had at work for a while reading this forum! ;)

No someone else said it but I disagree...

He probably can't believe it because we are talking world record fee, we are talking about quality signings BEFORE Bale goes rather than a quick last minute scrambling for average players and breaking our club record multiple times over.

None of that says to me Bale is staying on top. Sorry, but I think there is almost no chance he is staying.

So has Rooney five times....they told him to know his fucking role and went and won more leagues.

Player power means less with a long contract. If you don't want to play, they won't sign you next year, and you can enjoy the reserves and fines until the cows come home.

It's MUCH easier to do that when you are Manchester United.

Blame one of the most overused words in today world

Gareth is chasing his dream - good luck to the lad.

I've decided that one of my boys will have to be a professional footballer. We'll move to Spain he'll play for Madrid and be awesome. When he's 24 he'll get into the last year of his contract and tell Madrid he wants to go to Spurs to "follow his dream" I'll then walk in, give him a hug and say to the Madrid officials " that's for Balegate you bastards!"
