Telling RM to do one and keep Bale is always an option.

If the players can be dicks about transfers at the very last minute, i don't see why we shouldn't be. It's been stated we don't need the Bale money, and we still have eyes on the Llama, so screw it.

Do it, Dan; daub the words "Go f*ck yourself" across your arse-cheeks then arse-facetime them on your iphone.

I don't feel like Lamela is an alternative either, we were always after him.

I feel like this is a massive kick in the **** for us. :(

I don't really understand Ali Z's latest ITK. Kia and Roman used us. How exactly? I can understand an agent showing his player off to a rival club to get that club o bid, but what would the owner of the club have to gain. Why didn't they just sign him off the bat. If anything involving another club jacks the price up.

Can think that Chelsea have done anything but see an opportunity to sign a player and do so. Why involve us? Not like it has set us back as there is still over a week left of the window and I'm not sure if we saw Willian as a viable option anyway. Sure we wanted him but he only just became a possibility.

IMO. Offer pool money plus Siggy for Coutinho, he would have been prefect for us at 8.5mil, missed out big time

I Really, and I mean REALLY can't believe that we didn't try and sign him in Jan once he came available. We missed the boat big time and unfortunately we have no chance of signing him now. He's an incredible player.

So he's signed for £30m not any more than we offered. Must be getting better personal terms, or his agent's getting all fees paid no questions asked. (He still has to do another medical at ****ski btw)

"Chelsea have agreed a £30m deal to sign attacking midfielder Willian from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala subject to a work permit hearing.
"The 25-year-old Brazilian was close to joining Tottenham after undergoing a medical on Wednesday. But it is understood Chelsea made their move at around 18:00 BST on Thursday, with a fee and personal terms agreed within 24 hours.
"Willian will undergo a medical before his work permit hearing takes place next week."

Good, probably great player. Done something 99% of players would have done, joined a club with more chance of sustained success. Competition will be fierce but he might become the best of the bunch. We don't know. Can't miss what you never had, and we never had Willian. Fuck it, we move on. I have ultimate faith that we'll find a player to play in the number 10 slot.
Just glad I didn't bet. I was that close yesterday to laying a ton on him coming to us.

I think the point people are making is that he would have been one of the first names on the team sheet with us and will be rotated (at best) at Chelsea. Is he better than Hazard or Mata? I doubt it.

Not to mention Schurrle, Oscar and De Bruyne.

Or they're paying more up front to Anzhi.

Beast mode should be activated and sent around to the medical centre to ensure he never passes another medical in his career :p

Anyone who knows about these things, can we bill Willian / Joorabchian for our legal costs, the cost of the medical and any other associated costs?

It's petty, I know, and wholly unimportant in the grand scheme of things. But it only seems right that they pay for wasting our time.

Oh look, personal terms agreed before medical, done in less than 24 hours.

There's a lesson for you Spurs.

Right, it's time to learn lessons and move on.

And the lesson is, that we need to invest in mobile signal jamming devices, so that once we have players (and their agents) inside our castle we can't be scuppered like this again.

Get it done Levy. :D

yep, not quite sure why he flew him over then spent years doing a medical. like how long it took capoue from being done to actually officially done.

lesson learnt indeed

Lala, Eriksen, Coentrao and another striker please.

Bale's gone, we've actually not spent too silly an amount net this window - especially given how thrifty we've been before - so let's invest the Welsh cash pronto.
