Meh, I won't stoop down to petty insults towards Bale (as some on this forum will) but I'm almost certain he'll be a flop at Madrid, that's not bitter either - It's through logical reasoning.

Thank goodness that is finally coming to an end!
We now move on and finish assembling the best squad that we've had in ages off the back of the Bale money.
I like the way that AVB mentioned that there are other ways to pay the fee and that it will be a World Record amount.

Guys keep some dignity please, this could easily go the way of those comincal threads on RAWK, where everyone loves the guy until he goes/doesn't come and then they start insulting him for only being interested in money/massive ego/not being that good anyway/not even as good as [insert youth team player no one's heard of]/big nose/flappy ears etc

Can honestly say I hope it doesn't go well for Gareth at RM. Total disregard for the manager that got the best out of him so he could get this move. I don't care what he's done for the club, he needs to act professionally and with respect considering the fortune he's being paid. He doesn't want us anymore, I don't want him.

Can't compare the Rooney deal mate and trust me, if Madrid were sniffing round him as much as Bale then Rooney would have been offski.

He's going abroad, we are getting a (likely) world record amount and in Lamela we have one of the most exciting talents coming through and can step into the void.

At least he is leaving for a hefty fee. The kid could have easily handed in a transfer request or gone public with his desire to leave. That would have drastically reduced the amount we got for him. We don't need to bad mouth every ex spurs player. He did a lot for us and the money we get for him is going to take us to a whole new level. I for one am grateful that we had him and I wish him luck in the future.
