It wasn't about the clubs or the players at those clubs. It was us on the phone sorting loan deals. No specific clubs or players mentioned, but as the day has gone on I reckon he was on about Carroll and BAE to QPR.

Benoit was our only senoir left back, meaning Vertonghen had to be played there on various occasions. It was a bad situation to be in.

Anyone know how long is left on Hulks contract? Just occurred to me that if he has say 2 years left now his value may drop by an amount not dissimilar to the loan fee in a years time. E.g if worth 40m now and we get him next year for 30m with no risk for a season whilst we see if he is a success?

Completely agree. I have no idea who, but you'd think Baldini ad AVB could draw up a list and find someone. If they've found the right player and can see a deal being done, then go for it. If not, I think Rose will be starter (AVB has said in the past he'd be in his plans).
Still feel a NATURAL left back is needed.
