I just don't understand why we've left ourselves short at left back. Can't fathom it. Good window otherwise but I don't rate Rose at all. Sorry.

Why do people keep banging on about net spend - surely the overall quality of the squad is more important and we have improved that this Summer.

There are areas that are weaker than others for sure - but the squad is already too 'new' - we saw that on Sunday. Squad needs time to gel.

So I'm the only one that thinks there wasn't any loan from Joe Lewis? Struck me as BS at the time, still does.

I'm thoroughly satisfied with this window. Sad to see Bale go but excited about those we've brought in and hopefully Sandro and Kaboul getting back to full fitness.

No need to be pissed off, people just need perspective. What is the point in adding a LB that won't improve the squad just for the sake of it. Benny was let go as he seems to not fit AVB's project, so that is no big loss as he wouldn't have played.

Everything will be fine when Holtby, Eriksen & Lamela come into the team. Trust me, we'll be class. And Lennon, Townsend, Sigurdsson, Ade and Defoe as bench options. Fuck we're going to be good.

Disappointed we've failed to add a LB. I do see it as a cock up to let an experienced PL and international LB go out on loan to a Championship side, without making sure we had an adequate replacement, leaving us one natural option. (And he's converting from LW). Schoolboy error.
But. Bigger picture, on the whole, a damn good summer window. Some real class added. Genuine talent and potential. Very happy with that.
Would have liked replacements for Ade and BAE based on them being out of managers plans, but without suitable replacements recruited, happy for them to stay put. Ade has, so improved our strength in depth from last year. Benny hasn't, so mistake there
Overall, very happy. Best window I've seen.

I was expecting us to sign a left back today, not loan one out.

Other than that it's impossible not to be happy with our transfer dealings this window. We've improved our squad massively, and the Bale transfer was always going to happen.

I've been posting for a long time that the loan was just a rumour made up by someone.

Very, very happy with this window though.
