Who would you replace Avb with if you had the chance?

I've been giving AVB the benefit of the doubt but he doesn't seem to understand the Tottenham Way .

One upfront at home is pretty anemic , you gotta start asking yourself what style of footbball the club are trying to play .

There is a man out there with an impeccable coaching pedigree who understands the way football is meant to be played .

Has the time come for Glenn to come back to The Lane and save us ?

I wouldn't be averse to it... Would need to demonstrate that he learned from his mistakes... Think he was a great coach, largely misunderstood...

In a way I would love to see Bielsa, just purely to see what he would do to the club in terms of who he would kick out after judging them as total wasters and what new positions he would find for some of our players.

In England though, he would last about two weeks before a dressing room revolt.

Absolutely not. I'm in the camp that would give AVB another couple of games, but ONLY another couple of games, to start turning things round - if he can't then he must be shown the door IMO. But if we do end up getting rid of him, I hope to Jeebus that we've got a better replacement than Hoddle in mind.

Fuck no. Copied from another thread:

The same man who said today that he would play Soldado and Defoe together and that Dawson is an outstanding defender? The same man who has been out off work for over a decade?

His brand of utter insanity might just be the thing we crave. Imagine his 3-3-1-3 formation here. We got a stiffy when we started playing wing backs.
I like the idea of Bielsa but just don't think he'd be a success in England

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

jesus, spurs tinted glasses and all that, i am not all too pleased with AVB either at the moment but Hoddle as much of a legend he was as a player would be a terrible choice as would klinsmann by the way.

Yeah thats the fella, and too be fare if sturridge and suarez can be a good combo, maybe its worth giving it a try, gotta be better than the horse shit we are seeing at the moment, and tbf Daws is highly rated by most if not all EPL managers, not the quickest playing a high line granted but alongside verts hes been playing well, pity we keep changing the personel at center half, and pushing verts to lb...but hey im sure another foreign manager would please you more than a Spurs legend, alonside Freund.

How does Sturridge and Suarez in any way equate to Defoe and Soldado? You couldn't have chosen a more disparate pair of strikers so I'm not sure how that supports your point in any way? I don't care where the manager is from, or whether he's a Spurs legend, I just want the best for the club. And that is not Glenn fucking Hoddle.

Suarez and Sturridge both have a degree of positional versatility on their side, plus Suarez is technically gifted and inventive enough to make goals without the held of anyone else. Soldado and Defoe are not like either of them, both require service to provide anything and service is what we don't have. Putting them both on the field won't improve that, it'll take away another player who might maybe (please?) create something.

That is not the problem, the problem is we are not playing football at all. The decision making is awful, we are far to narrow and width is not existant.

Soldado is an awesome striker, but he needs to get the ball in the box where he can do his damage. Match of the day just summed it nicely. We are as wide as a young virgins fanny and devoid of any creativity, pressure and speed.

Inverted wingers are not working and we are simply not making the right balls. Dembele too for all his mazey runs just fails to release the ball, time and time again.

Our players are idiots and having 1, 2 or 3 up front wont make a difference as they will never get the ball. This is where AVB has to make the changes. He needs to stop being a stubborn little git and learn the game, our game. If he doesn't, he is fucked, we are fucked and I can see mass exodus at the end of the season. We have great bunch of players that we brought in the summer and completely failing to play them to their strengths and they will want to leave us if things don't start happening soon.

I am really worried for us right now, AVB needs to get us attacking and stop worrying about possession and losing. We can all handle a loss if the players can walk off that pitch with their heads held high.

So many positives at the club, but it is all being wasted because of stubbornness and an unwillingness to change what clearly isn't working.
