What's worrying me right now is that the Goons aren't dropping the points I'd expected.
By the way, I thought that Chadli improved throughout the game, even though I did say he was poor.
AVB's subs were very good.
How it looks now is we wont beat Arse or City, and id be amazed if Chelsea really fuck up. Does that leave us at 4th is best option between us, Man utd, Liverpool and Everton?

Won by 5?

They put 3 past Chelsea!!!!!

My point was people saying we could have scored 5... It masks the problems we have. if we play the "Sunderland scored 3 against Chelsea" card then does that mean they better than Spurs cos they beat City and we only scored one against Chelsea?

Our performance is what matters and with the players we have we should be more fluid and threatening with the ball

Lennon and chadli very good defending today that's why they started, we played poor until the Sunderland goal then we came alive and played very well, suddenly we had options players running from deep.

I think we lack confidence to play the forward ball when we go down the pressure comes off I hope we rest some players we don't need to play any starting players against Liverpool.

We have a lot of injuries ATM hope we get players back for Liverpool, I think Lennon had a good game the reason he starts is he works back Townsend needs to learn ;)

Earlier today I flicked on the rugby harlequins where playing, nick Easter nick Evans to old guys but still great players with a young team around them lots of youth and players who have been together for 10 years. It suddenly dawned on me how we need time and to give AVB a break we have a lot of good players we need time. Defence wins titles you can always nick a goal, I want to play great football it pisses me off how we are playing but I can see AVB is not Ramos we are heading the right way we are trying to play a very modern style of football we need to have faith and suffer the pain ;)

Finally I hate all the crap critism at our players Dawson is our captain and a great leader he is our best cb ATM, bold statement when the chips are down he does not hide. Verts is great but really Sunderland away you need a ball winner in the air vlad is still young and raw, kabs not fully fit. Verts maybe more talented but Dawson away Sunderland all week team sheet.

Finally walker has had a bad patch but again awesome ATM players form dip but again his a leader and should be England's number one, Kyle norton played great today as well.

is not the last 10mins i was upset about, it was before the double sub by sunderland, we had the ball. sundeland wasn't able to win the ball, but instead of using that time to push forward, we played keep ball, as if stalling for time telling sunderland "yeah we in the lead, and now u decide what u want to do" we should have taken the initiative and take the game to them.

thats grinding my gears big time!

I think you're being a little bit harsh. Our attacking intent in the second half, positive play and numbers of players getting into good attacking positions was the best we've had this season.

Exactly. Strange Defoe gets called a finisher, when hes anything but. He has fantastic movement, when soldado has been a lazy shit in the games for us
Not sure what people are disagreeing with my statement above? That Defoe isnt a finisher or Soldado hasnt pulled his finger out?

We didn't turn negative up 2-1, we had 3 or 4 of our best chances in the game...

Not only that, its the most dangerous we've looked all season. I'm delighted but I was a wee tiny bit disappointed that we couldn't flex our muscles in the way our attacking play deserved. Would of loved a four 1 score line for us tonight, just to really up the confidence.

i am just frustrated we didn't kill the game off. we need the killer instinct, we need to make sure we get the 3points.

What's worrying me right now is that some of you still believe that we can finish above Arsenal this season. Please, get real. We're battling Man.Utd. and Liverpool this season for top4.

In the grand scheme of things, we really shouldn't be giving a shit about what Arsenal are doing.

I dont think we will, but have no problems with fans thinking that we can. No reason the scum wont lost to both City and Chelsea in the next 3 games and leave us 4 points off them. Plus we still have to play them at home. Those ****s arent getting away yet

Yeah, but how many other league games this season have we even looked like we could score three or four? It would have been nice to score a couple more, but it's a step in the right direction against an improving team.

[te="Macspur261, post: 3729955, member: 27061"]Our best performance of the season for me, we bossed it from start to finish and the scoreline flatters Sunderland.[/quote]

It was still the same slow laboured start, lack of movement and 1 or 2 touch passing or early balls for the attackers, too many chances of counters wasted by people checking back or passing sideways and backwards. Second half was a big improvement though
