I've been in the AVB out camp for the best part of a month now, today just summed up why. Team didnt come out with any fire in their bellies, we didnt put them under nowhere near enough pressure in possession, we pressed in one and two, Sandro, Dembele and Paulinho were very poor when we didnt have the ball, naughton was left exposed, dawson had his usual solid (crap) game and that side of the pitch we got hurt over and over again with the high line and lack of pace, AVB did make decent subs and we came back into it till paulinho got wrongly sent off but that just masks over the fact we sent out with no game plan, lennon hasnt done anything to justify his place in the team and we never really looked like scoring let alone get back into the game, fuck the useless muppet off and start again before its too late, we won't finish top 10 at this rate.

I must say, a surprising lack of angst and death threats over this potential upheaval. Are all Spurs fans finally too downtrodden and brow-beaten to care that much anymore? What happens, happens kinda vibe.

Not sure it's quite up there with the chavs beating Bayern.

All feels very predictable really. Until AVB is sacked I'm considering the club to be in a state of limbo. A limbo made up of poor performances and embarrassing results. I don't feel dejected...just numb.

That game destroyed me. I swear the football (and cricket) world was made to fuck me over

Naughton - Simply isn't good enough and never will be.
Fryers has potential.
Dawson - Love him as a mid-table winner - But he ain't top 4.
Chadli - Not seen anything to justify him.
Lamela - I've seen enough to give him more game time.
Holtby - love his enthusiasm - A better Steffan Freund - but not better than Eriksen.
Make Sandro captain and play him every game.
Never play Soldado alone upfront again.
Townsend - put him on the left from the start and see how he evolves.
I could go on. But I'm just in me armchair.

Simple thoughts and better thinking than AVB's current tosh.
He tried to play Sandro, but he broke down. Your thoughts are not worth anything.

Think that is a bit much blaming the fans for this shower of shit the players and the manager especially take the blame for wank tactics and piss poor performance again.
The fans have every right to complain after yet another inept showing and gutless surrender we are again the laughing stock of football.
That's not the point, but I can't be bothered to explain.

HEY! A few positives!

Holtby really has become my favourite player in the league. He has actually surpassed Sandro (?!). Gives his all, really cares - the only one to really fight today. Oh, wait, he wasn´t. Soldado looked better than so far this season, making more clever runs, battling it out a little. And there were crosses! True they were few and mainly poor, but crosses!

The body language of the players was just awful. Sandro clearly wasn't fit so will let him off. The rest though were just abject.
Why Chadli starts a game like that I have no idea, him and Naughton on the left had mid table written all over it.
I'm not keen on changing managers rashly but today made me realise that AVB really is out of his depth.
As much as I love Dawson's attitude he is a liability. We have no heart at the moment, just a load of individuals who look clueless.

My problem with AVB, from his initial appointment, has been his handling of personnel. Why was Sigurdsson ahead of Van der Vaart to start last season? Why have Adebayor and BAE been outcasts, when they play in positions where we desperately need re-inforcements? Why, with BAE out on loan, and inexperienced Danny Rose (who was injured for a time at Sunderland last season) as our first choice left-back, did we not make purchasing a left-back a matter of great urgency? Why did it take until November 20th of last season for Brad Friedal to be permanently dropped for Hugo Lloris? Why has Lamela not gotten a consistent run of games in the first team? Why was Eriksen dropped after the debacle against West Ham?

There are so many man management issues that I feel have cost us dearly in the last 1.5 seasons, that I believe it is time for AVB to be replaced. I think Laudrup is the long-term answer, but in the interim, we need someone who will not be afraid to play Eriksen, Lamela, Holtby, and other new signings. We need to give these new signings tons of games so we can properly evaluate them.

I knew when the rule was brought in that the winner of the CL would take the team in 4th spot's place that we would be the ones to first suffer it and hey presto...

Fair enough I suppose but I'm sure that we all want the best for this club but sometimes some people are not right for certain jobs and this looks the case here.
Whatever happens to avb over the next few days if he goes I wish him well and hope he is a success elsewhere.

The Apprentice said:
Can't remember ever feeling this dejected before

I remember a 7-0 thumping at Anfield IN 1978

That was because we had a midfield that day of Hoddle, Ardiles, Villa and McNab not a tackle between them and as today proved midfield is the key

Add to that, over the last calender year we have just been getting worse, scoring lesser and lesser amounts of goals.

My personal choice - Marco Bielsa (ex Argentine, ex Chile ex Athletico Bilbao manager).

Highly rated - Master tactician & a fucking task master. And if anyone don't know, Bielsa is Pochettino's Mentor. He changed Chile national team, from the grass root level.

He is the only top manager, who is in the market. Even he is currently in talks with taking Peru national team.

We need experienced manager at helm.
