We lost it with those subs, Fryers just isn't up to this level yet was Rose injured or was it done with a view to the next game?

When I saw Holtby I was praying that he'd take Defoe off because even though Ade was blowing he was still doing much much more than Defoe.

In the end they went route 1 and exposed are lack of aerial strength at the back.

If I can take anything positive from the match it's that maybe this will make the Spammers keep Allardyce as their manager for a while longer! You never know, maybe he will get them send back down again? :)

Congratulations to everyone who wanted us to regress back to "4-4-f*cking-2". Well you got what you wanted and now we're properly in the shit.

 not good enough,.... defoe offside a lot,... subbing Ade off killed Spurs,.... wonder what the result would be if soldado started for defoe and holtby started for sigi?....

very disappointing,.... spammer team not impressive, yet another lost game that should be a win...

added bonus: townsend injury,... OLE!!! :banghead:

The Adebayor substitution was the killer for us, meant relying on Defoe to hold the ball up (when he was onside) which a blind mongoose could tell it wouldn't work. Ahh well it was only the Mickey Mouse cup (I can say that now we are out :))

our players tonight were simply bad... why Defoe can stay on the field and Ade subbed was beyond me.. Dembele was overworked and Siggy did not warrant a start anytime soon...

Lloris was so piss poor today that I thought he wanna leave with AVB... distribution was appalling to the worse.. only positive was he made some good saves... but our defence was so lacking and easily pressurised that allowed the wet spammers to come into the game... they tackle really well although I hate to say it... the entire team is a hall mark of Big Sam bullishness and I fucking hate the wet spammers more now!

Not felt this dejected about Spurs for a long long time. The only slight excuse I can think of is we would have probably won this with two fit centre backs. Still no excuse only scoring one past these lot though.

Total and utter bollocks. That performance was shit and another defeat at home. Sherwood is not the answer. He has no management experience for god sake

My feed died for the two goals so I was left thinking Ade was the key to bringing back our fluidity.

Can someone (level headed) please fill me in?

If that was Sherwood's interview for the job I think it's safe to say he royally fucked it up. Well at least we've got our Tottenham back.

I am hoping that at any moment, I am going to wake up in a hot sweat laughing at the worst nightmare I have had since the days of doom and the Chris Armstrong era. Oh no, I can feel pain, that means its real….. aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!
