How does a Goalie and a defender compensate for the loss of Modric?
We are two points above United and he gets sacked, Moyes is still in his job.

So by that argument you can't sack a manager unless all the clubs below have sacked theirs?

They couldn't refuse it, trust me, only a couple of clubs could. And they definitely couldn't refuse the money we got for Bale. And they wouldn't be able to control a Suarez with RM in his sights either.

I think it would have certainly been interesting, FSG are very astute in regards to business and not afraid of selling big names, but at the same time I don't think they'd sell over Rodgers' head had he wanted to keep Suarez. That said Rodgers might have seen that much money as an opportunity to do exactly what they did with Torres previously and replace 1 with 2, indeed whilst Suarez was suspended the talk was of shifting the focus away from him and bring in more team play.

So basically no matter what occurred, AVB was right.
Nope I didn't say that did I. I'm AVB supporter but I certainly criticize him where it's warranted, I wish you and others who support Levy would do the same.

60 million was the figure being talked about not 85 million.

Reguardless, i have seen posts on here and elsewhere bemoaning that Levy sold Bale but L'pool kept Suarez ( in other words l'pool were right Levy was wrong) its bollocks, if Madrid had offered the same money he would have gone like a shot and L'pool would have let him.

Don't just brush it off dude there is a big difference between 60 million and 85-90 million.

I am brushing nothing up,he would have gone and those who say he would not ( and they have been a few) are living in cuckoo land.

Let me ask you a simple question, do you think Levy would have sold Bale for 60 million?

Well you are because the figure being talked about is 60 million and not 85.
Yes Levy would have sold for 60 million but Perez was desperate to have a trophy wife to parade in front of his own fans. Wait until next year and thats another year of Bale's contract going down.
