Well you are because the figure being talked about is 60 million and not 85.
Yes Levy would have sold for 60 million but Perez was desperate to have a trophy wife to parade in front of his own fans. Wait until next year and thats another year of Bale's contract going down.

Well we disagree.

Reguardless, i have seen posts on here and elsewhere bemoaning that Levy sold Bale but L'pool kept Suarez ( in other words l'pool were right Levy was wrong) its bollocks, if Madrid had offered the same money he would have gone like a shot and L'pool would have let him.

They wouldn't have sold in Summer gone full stop, it'd have been Jan or Summer 2014 at the earliest. Thats guaranteed. See the LFC thread if you're interested in why I am stating this.

Rubbish mate, he wanted out and even said it.

If RM had put the intensity into signing Suarez he would be in Spain now.

Time will tell if he stays and whether that contract repays itself. Football is very fickle and your one injury from losing the players current ability.

Of course he would have gone if RM had wanted him, that's obvious! Fending of Arsenal doesn't even compare with fighting of RM, to say otherwise is mind blowing lay stupid!

So you are telling me that if Madrid ( or any other club) had offered 85 million they would not have sold him? Bollocks.

Ok mullers your Levy-bashing has now reached the point where you're literally just making stuff up.

You have no evidence for anything you're saying here, and both your Bale and Suarez points are completely wrong.

I'm speculating about what I think Levy would have done, it's not really bashing as such. I don't there is much doubt that Perez wanted desperately to parade some star signing and Bale was that person. If it was up to Ancelotti he would have used that 90 million for something else.

Levy talks the talk but he doesn't walk the walk, he will go on about a player not being sold at any price yada yada in the end he will always sell. Modric was sold for what? 33 million in 2012. Not really far fetched to believe that he wouldn't sell for 60 million, if Perez wasn't so desperate.

It's not the other club that's the issue, it's how you handle it with your own player.

Rooney and Suarez are both playing really well despite wanting to leave.

No other club can FORCE you to sell, it's a business decision.

I'm pretty sure this club could:

Well they gave him a 6 year contract 6 months ago. A bit different imo.
If moyes had a better win percentage than any other utd boss and got sacked would you say the same? we have the second best away record in the league to Arsenal, says a lot about the atmosphere at home games these days...

For me our whole strategy depends on the stadium. If the building of it goes ahead regardless of our current turnover situation then it's not a problem.

But, if the build was relying on 3 or 4 years CL football or a £100million naming rights which means it doesn't go ahead I would be disappointed as the Bale money could have allowed us to press on regardless.

If the stadium is still a goer then investing the Bale money in the squad isn't an issue, whether it proves successful in the future or not, as the club is still moving forward.
