Well said that man same shit different year it will be the same next year and the next.
They are and will be better than us.

I still don't think they are better than us though, I can't bring myself to admit it. I like to think of it as a minor blip in form that's lasted around 20 years!
Arsenal are slightly evil who have a history of cheating players and supported by dickheads - Scum!

When he brought chadli on and changed things we then got a foothold in midfield. Oddly enough....

If we'd have started like that we'd have been right in it all day.

This was a clear case of suicide from the off.

You really can't make a schoolboy error like that and get away with it.

Pretty embarrassing.

Massive respect for all the Spurs fans at the ground for spending their hard earned money to go, if id have been able to get a ticket I would gave done the same...............
But thought our fans were quiet and outsung by a load of woolwich today even at nil nil. Considering the amount we had in there it seemed like that both the team and the fans were flat. Maybe most were expecting to lose and to be fair who can blame them, it's pretty much the same story at that shithole year in year out.

No excuse for this. If we can rock Stamford bridge at 3-0 down then that 5000 can do the same. I hate the fact only season ticket holders can get tickets there.

Can't see how any of the Sherwood backers can defend him with this comment; Ray Charles could see that we were overrun and they only let us have possession when they had won the game.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25531860

This is a link to the BBC match report.

It shows we had 54% of possession and 13 shots in total to their 14 (with 3 on target to their 5).

In the end we gifted them 1 goal and were cut open by one moment of attacking play where we got collectively mixed up.

The game I watched was a fast paced and open, and although we looked a little lacklustre from the start I wouldn't say Arsenal ripped us to pieces or even dominated us that heavily. Away from home I think it was our intention to mostly try hit them on the break and there's nothing wrong with that. It's called a game-plan.

Of course Sherwood is going to defend his team and decisions tonight. Very few managers just come out and say 'Oh yeah I got it all wrong tonight, sorry my bad'.

To be honest, with the condition of our players after the last fortnight's schedule I don't think any formation would have won us that game. Don't forget the other team are currently top of Premier League and not suffering from a recent over-haul in system and style.

I'm not saying tonight was good but I don't think it was as bad as many are making out here and if people are really pointing to tonight's game as proof of Sherwood's inability as a coach then I think they're clutching at straws in the hope of validating their agenda.

I have no particular affinity for Tim Sherwood but I'll defend anyone if I think they're being unfairly criticised.

Like we were when we played them in the league?

I really would have brought Capoue on for Ade and pushed Dembele forward.

I know mate but I do feel that capoue must have an injury or something otherwise it makes no sense not to at least bring him on. I know people will say why have him on the bench then but there must be something going on there that we don't know about.

Fair play to tim for going for it, I didn't think much of his tactical ability to change things but I think he was restricted with the injuries so today was not the day to judge.

Hard to critise ade or soldado today as both came off injured at OT and declared themselves fit for today, ade tried for 90 mins, same eriksen etc. danny rose however is now dead to me. That sinking feeling we all had on deadline day when we didn't get a left back has come back to haunt us again.

in september when we lost 1-0
AVB played a different style to what Sherwood did today
and guess we still lost both matches

Just got back from the game, few comments.

Disgusting by Arsenal to deny us our full allocation for 'health and safety' reasons, then put the Arsenal fans in the upper tier above us. Got pelted with all kinds of stuff for the entire game. Classless dick move by them.

Secondly, Wenger's claim that Walcott had things thrown at him before he made his gesture is a complete lie. Not defending the fans actions of throwing the coins at all, but that little rat must have realised that inciting 5,000 drunks wasn't going to end well.

As for the football, thought we were quite naive today. Plenty of positives however. We started well and Eriksen's miss was crucial. Think if we'd have gone 1-0 up they would of had to push on a bit more and we could of exploited space on the wings a bit more. They played a solid, fairly defensive game relying on the pace of Walcott and Gnabry to get them into good positions. Ade and Soldado were both poor. Arsenal away you need an outlet to relieve pressure and Ade failed at that today. Still he's played alot of football of late and his recent form lets him have an off day IMO. Thought Bentaleb looked promising.

Overall onwards and upwards. Tim and our younger players will learn from today more than they did from our win at Old Trafford.

If we had more than about half-a-dozen goal attempts in that game I'd be surprised; we lined up with Capoue, Dembele and Paulinho across the middle and they still got through.

There was a big difference though - and it wasn't just to do with our luck running out as such, it was fatigue. The sloppy passing from the off is completely indicative of that.

Now, in a way - to not make any changes and to go in there on not a full tank and get outnumbered in the middle was a bit suicidal from Sherwood - hard enough anytime really.

But we created far better quality chances at OT, and deserved our three points. We got what we bloody deserved tonight, so for me its a lazy comparison.

Amazing how the result can warp your views.

How sloppy was our passing early on at OT? How incredibly lucky were we with referees decisions? How exploited between the lines were we? I don't see a great deal of difference in performance bar the end result.

It just so happens we managed to convert two of the chances that day. We had plenty of similar situations today but not the rub of the green (like Lennon's deflected cross for Eriksen).

Playing that system away from home against decent teams will give you more today's than OT's.

You have your view, I have mine.

When I look at something like this, I am often in more than one mind, the stato in me wants to say, 'Oh, look, we are getting better against them'. The part of me that watched the match feels that despite improvements statistically measured against Arsenal, we still seem quite a way off them when we play them at the Emirates.

At home it could be a different kettle of fish, mind.

This game was a carbon copy of the one we lost earlier in the season. So frustrating.

Agreed. I was at the 5-2 humiliation last year...behind enemy lines as I call it. We seem to go to pieces. I can't fathom why. The atmosphere is almost laughable and I don't say that with any bitterness. I've never known such a souless stadium. Their chants... 'Arsenal...Arsenal...Arsenal' and that 'by far the greatest team the world has ever seen' crap that 40% of clubs use are a joke. It's not a 'cauldron'...I just can't understand why we seem to struggle there.

I was honestly embarrassed for their fans that day....even at 4-1 down at half time. I was stood metres away from our fans that day (where you'd think their 'die-hard' fans would be)...and I remember looking around at what I was surrounded by...and thinking everyone looks like Syd Little from the 80's TV show 'Little and Large' with red and white scarfs. I've honestly never seen anything like it.

Why should it be a place we can't get a result?
