Watching Dawson against Aguero is horrifying to say the least.

Needs to be moved along with Siggy.

Can't believe we turned down 11 million from Reading last season.

Watching Aguero against virtually any CB is horrifying (except for City fans).

We didn't learn about selecting the right players against certain styles of play and players against Arsenal, let's hope the one positive tonight is that going forward Sherwood can now see this.
If he doesn't give in to it then we are in for a hell of a month in March...and I mean hell.

So, how worried are we all that we will lose Lloris, Jan and Sandro in the summer...? Might keep hold of Sandro. I think there is a real risk the other two will go, I wouldn't blame them, they deserve better we are so disorganised at the back, it's like we don't coach tactics but simply send the players out "go and express yourselves". That doesn't work against better players!

At least we will get good money for them again. We will then try and buy 4 more second tier players with the money. If Hugo goes I'd go for Begovic or Reina.

I just made the mistake of looking at our fixtures for March. Really not looking forward to going to the chavs or Anfield. :dead:

Chelsea (a)
Arsenal (h)
Southampton (h)
Liverpool (a)

We have to get on a run in February, build the confidence back up and get out with a with a minimum of 12 points to have a realistic chance of top 4. Squeaky bum time!

Started slow with AVB too...

To be honest I didn't really explain mu point very well. When I say slow, I ultimately mean poor, we give the ball away, we sit back, we let our defence be attacked. When we started slow with AVB it was more in the fact that we were direction-less, passing side ways and back. Yet now, it always seems that the opposition come into the game more than we do. We're never really "up for it" until the second half. Its happened too much for my liking to be coincidental, hence why I am putting tactical attempts by Tim into it. But surely that can't be right, can it?

I think it'll depend on who Baldini can bring in, and whether Levy actually lets him and the new head coach do their jobs and run the footballing side of things or not. If he doesn't then I can see the same horrible cycle repeating and us losing what should have been a fantastic foothold into the higher tier.

Nope. I think it's a fear thing.

City are a class act, but they are the new United in terms of getting diabolical decisions from the officials. They got 2 ridiculous decisions against Liverpool, a diabolical one against Newcastle and 3 more against us tonight. They don't need any help FFS!
You are spot on there. Unfortunately refs and officials have simply changed their arse kissing bias by jumping off the United bandwagon that seems to be running out of gas and jumping onto the new bandwagon called City that's rolled into town.
They are just as bad as all those fickle turncoat bandwagon jumpers who call themselves loyal fans, who followed Liverpool in the 80s United in the 90s and 00s and who now can't decide whether to opt for City or Chelsea

They get their heads turned more than a bloody Wimbledon umpire as the ball goes from one side of the net to the other.

Don't know where to start with that game tonight !!

Firstly wrong team selected but I would say that - pre match I quoted silva is going to have field day , Dawson will be ass raped all night long and quoted on the shitness of rose and it's shocking crosses -- midfield all wrong - listen anything points wise would have been bonus tonight for me , we didn't so ......and

Jesus Christ can you just have kaboul verts paulinho soldado sandro all playing from start on next game - a joke is a joke now at this stage .

If:
Dawson's goal gets given - game is 1-1, anything could happen (although knowing Spurs we'd concede about 3 minutes after).

Rose's tackle wasn't a pen - game is 1-0, Spurs in ascendency, anything could happen.

Both decisions looked hard to make but in the end I think both were wrong.

My dipper step-dad (after gloating ferociously) said that there's too much money invested in this sport for decisions like this to be wrong. I'm inclined to agree with him - even though we know have goal line technology, I think we should use TV refs for key incidents - offside calls like this one and penalty decisions like that one. The only problem with that though is where does the line stop?
"We could have scored from that corner that was wrongly given as a goal kick!" or "You wouldn't have scored that goal if you hadn't been given our throw-in 5 minutes beforehand, why don't we have TV refs for that, huh?" might become commonplace if TV refs were ever introduced.

I think a good solution is like rugby - with the referee wearing a headset, so everyone can hear him nice and clear (although maybe not with the obscenities players might throw at him, but you don't see rugby players doing this - they calmly get their captain to talk to the referee. How can we get this attitude into football? But that's another issue.), and if he's totally unsure of a decision, he can play on where appropriate and at a stoppage ask the TV ref what he thinks. TV refs won't get every decision right (and they might have got the ones today wrong as well) but they would reduce the number of refereeing errors. Which is at the moment is TOO DAMN HIGH!

On a side note, the main referee today was fantastic! Didn't call fouls for players flopping over stupidly, listened to his assistants if they were in a better position than him (unfortunately) and allowed a free-flowing game generally.

As I've just remarked to someone else, they were all playing from the start at the Etihad.

Knew we were going to get a shocking decision or two against us as soon as kompany and co were in the refs face after Daws clash with Aguero. Reminded me of united teams of the past!

Hard enough to compete with City and there Arab millions at the best of times

But it's impossible when you have an inept linesman against you as well
