Correction: Benfica game. Block 35 is going to be used by Benfica. Given the no. of ST holders in all other blocks. 1882 isn't possible
Absolutely fucking unbelievable night!
3:30 on this video is our 3rd goal. Amazing scenes.
There's nothing like that. No formal or organised group. And that's part of the problem.
THST discusses various fan related issues with the club. But that's about it. Nothing to do with singing or atmosphere.
Someone shouts something the rest follow if its goodso how the hell are chants, firstly, composed (not that our chants are anything complicated) and secondly, initiated during a match? (if there's no big cluster of fans) Also, how are matchday demonstrations organised?
There's no way that's how it works. Let's take the Eriksen song for example; a masterpiece composition for a Tottenham song, in comparison to our rather basic majority collection. That cannot be shouted by thousands of supporters all from the origin of one man. It just can't happen like that. Also, what about matchday demonstrations?Someone shouts something the rest follow if its good
What is with the constant questions? Are you writing a school project? The fans are not regimented. Someone starts the song, other people (not many these days) carry it on. No project, just interested, is that such a big surprise? I can believe that one fan starts it, but there's no way it can take off just from one man shouting it out during a game, but rather in a pub with other fans, to get it exposed. Of course there are going to be 'regimented' sections of fans, fans who have formed friendships with other fans over many years. Are you a local London fan? OK you got me. We set up as squads with scouts, snipers, sappers and riflemen. Usually about 10 of us but depends if Dave's had a dodgy ruby the night before. We infiltrate the South Stand via the bar, khazi and programme seller. Once in our seats we produce the printed song sheets and the order of service for the game. A few Come On You Spurs's are thrown around to make sure everyone has warmed up their voice. We then start off with "Come all ye faithful!" and then " Onward Christian Soldiers". The finale is usually "Jerusalem" just before we need to visit the facilities again. Apart from that we don't do much supporting of the team. Oh and I have no clue how the demonstrations get started but it is usually if Riggi doesn't have his post match Chick King.No project, just interested, is that such a big surprise? Chants start in loads of different ways. The 1882 Movement I know have started some (Everywhere you go for Lamela as an example), many start in pubs then gradually escalate, the occasional song gets started, gets caught on film, and goes viral (Eriksen), some of the simpler ones do literally start with 1 guy shouting it out in the ground and others catching on (obviously this is the case for some unique, opposition specific chants. There's no fixed rule...No project, just interested, is that such a big surprise? so is the 1882 movement just an online movement or do they meet?Chants start in loads of different ways.
