Looks like he's still with us judging from his twitter account.

I thought he was just a massive Spurs fan. Didnt see anything to suggest he plays for us, saw a tweet about him going for a trial. Reading I imagine

Just finished. Eng came back from 1 nil down to win 2 -1. And not as far as I know

That's pretty impressive.

Not often that England teams have got the better of their German counterparts at any age group over recent years.

Obviously Winks must have had a good game but how did Oduwa play?

Ye it's the Spurs link. ;). And FA twitter stream didnt say too much about the game, and so Oduwa wasnt mentioend but they did imply England had a good game as some chances so assume he would have been involved, and he wasnt taken off. Good things id assume

Seen one guy on twitter saying Oduwa impressed him. Not much, but at least it confirms he can't have been shocking (not that that was ever in doubt!)

Harry Winks impressed coming off the bench top score as did Nathan Oduwa playing as a no 10 rather than on the wing

Oduwa with an assist and involved in 2nd goal

The Young Lions head coach fielded Tottenham’s Nathan Oduwa, a powerfully built and skilful winger by trade, behind target man Bradley Fewster. And Oduwa carried the main threat, shifting the ball from foot to foot and possessing the strength to drift clear of his markers

Think he plays cb/rb/cm. With the players of that age we have in those positions, it would probably be tough to get in the side especially if coming back from injury

Read that earlier had him as a no.10 and he played well. Tbf makes sense with his 2 feet and dribbling ability. Won't make things easy for the academy managers though.

Here's an interview with him

Was about to ask who we have at rb then I remembered kwp has been our star player of late. Tough for him. As mentioned he was rated highly at the tournament and when you consider the players we let go to arsenal and city just shows what we already know. That our squad at that level is so strong. And we've added to it next year

Rumours are that the tourament squad will be an 18 man squad - all 2nd and 1st year minus those who are just coming back from injury (Luke Amos & Emanuel Sonupe), CCV rested and Alex McQueen included. Not sure about Priestley who has been released

Nathan sounds very grounded.

You can tell he is beaming, but is trying to be humble for the camera haha.

I just realsed I think he confused his own spurs teammates Winks and Miller . Kept wondering why he didnt mention say Harry but clocked that he said Will who was also on the bench.

We have had Winks, Miller, Oduwa, Sonupe and Ogilvie all represent England this year in their age group. Onomah for year below and of course Lesniak for Slovakia. 1st team has been shocking (relatiely speaking) but between how well our 16s/18s have been doing and Kane, Fryers, Bentaleb and Townsend making it to the first team has been a great year for our youth.

Livermore has made it to an FA Cup final, Pritchard was runner up League one player for year Carroll has done OK, and Ceballos has shown his ability. Looking forward to next year.

Worth pointing out that, as well as Winks scoring the winner and Oduwa setting up the first and playing a crucial role in the second, Will Miller (on as an 87th minute sub) also produced a sublime, threaded through ball which eventually led to England hitting the post (when they really should have scored).

Who was it the other day who was saying that German clubs were still producing much better players than Spurs?

Well, I guess that this tournament will be the litmus test.

Hope I'm not made to look a fool for having argued the case for our young players!
