Coulibaly really needs to learn when to shoot and not.

He will never make it for us with that Defoe mindset.

3-4 times he took shots that were never ever going to challenge the keeper and literally just rolled into his arms.

On wednesday evening Spurs will send a young U-15 side to Ipswich for a friendly. The game is at Portman Road k.o. 7pm.

A chance to see the u15's - probably a number of them we've seen thois season in the Riga Cup u14 or u15 events covered earlier on this thread. In the last part of this season we've seen some of the u15 side we saw a year ago start their first games for Spurs u18's so it'll be an interesting match

And for the u16's ?

Warm up match tomorrow, too prepare us for Belgium on Friday

Got 5 a side tomorrow unfortunately, or I'd definitely have fancied that! Haven't been to Portman Road in ages - used to go a lot as my best mate about 10 years ago was an Ipswich ST holder.

Also that thing about Belgium scared me. Thought for a second we'd changed our plans and the U18 were no longer going to Dusseldorf! Then saw you said U16. Phewwwww

We've played in this tournament once before in 2008, alongside the likes of Ajax, Real Madrid and PSV Eindhoven (Depay Memphis won Player of the Tournament by the looks of it). We came 7th out of 12, so not too great! I guess some of the current U18 / U21s may have been involved in that, but I can't find a squad list anywhere.

This year, we're in a group with Twente, Bruges and Bassevelde, playing all 3 group games on the Saturday. Games are 2 x 20 minute halves, and are played on a full size pitch. The current holders are Barcelona, and they are looking to win it for a 3rd time in a row.

That's about all I can find!

Went searching for tournaments around that time and I found one in 2009 there's pics dont know if i can post where we played against Real Madrid and some other decent teams. Can recognise at least 5 of em from our u18s side but cant find who won the tournament or anything

Ere you go

https://www.flickr.com/photos/af7/3593361200/

Did a bit more research and found something that will need to be translated, talks about how Cy Goddard was rated as on of the best players and a few others.

http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://perlasdelfutbol.blogspot.com/2009/06/informe-arousa-futbol-7-2009.html&prev=/search?q=arousa+futbol+7+2009&newwindow=1&safe=off&es_sm=93

Also looked through a few more and there are 2 players who have now gone to City and Arsenal. The City one (Denzeil Boadu) currently plays for England u17s and I think he is rated highly, while think the Arsenal player(Aaron Eyoma) is apparently also thought highly of. Says alot about Harrison that we decided to keep him rather than them two

Luke Amos really seems to be a dominating player in the pics if that makes sense. Described him as a good defender in the other link. Guess thats why he plays lb for our u18s

Cy Goddard hasn't changed a bit! Hasn't really grown either. That definitely looks like Walker-Peters to his left as we look. Is that Oduwa back middle?

Also, I never knew Ogilvie was a keeper when he was younger!

Lol the ones I recognise are: Goddard, Amos, Onomah, Harrison, Voss, Maghoma and Walker-Peters. Reading the other link i posted the highest rated player for us was Danny Norton I think. Looked him up and seems he is injured on twitter. Don't know if he is still with us, but it shows what a funny game it is. Prob one of our best crop of youngsters and the best or one of the best players rated at the tourne isn't known any more, and Onomah got a couple of lines mentioned at the bottom of the page

Looks like he's still with us judging from his twitter account.

Harry Winks has just scored for England U18s against Germany putting them 2-1 up. Oduwa started the game and Miller is on the bench
