Levy and the board have a huge problem right now, if they sack the clueless one the media will ridicule the decision and make the club out to be a joke. If they keep him on until the end of the season, the odds are he will alienate more players, fans, sponsors and potential sponsors with his bitter rants and embarrassing actions. Either way the clubs image will be damaged.

Any player who is so touchy that he can't handle interim manager for 3 more games can fuck off for all I care. Same goes to any fan. Don't think sponsors have that much of an issue on what he has done or said recently. And they know he will be gone in the summer too.

However given how bad publicity it would be to sack what is practically an interim manager who has 36 points in 19 games with three games to go it would probably be an issue for sponsors.

Sherwood's fatal flaw has been recreating the Redknapp era forgetting that we (at the time) forgave a lot of 'Arry's bullshit because he was successful.

Another thing to take into equation when talking about LVG - he will say what he thinks both in public and behind the scenes and make those two look like bloody diplomats. And whatever we say now, as such probably won't be given time if he doesn't deliver it on rather fast schedule.

I'd like TS out, but there does not seem to be anything to gain by firing him now. He can finish the season, and then move on.

I finally saw the post-game presser - much ado about nothing. imo. He seems to be a guy who values training performances - not sure that is for everyone, but its hardly the worst criteria to pick a squad from.

Sandro is obviously upset at not playing, and thats fine with me, I want players who are disappointed in not making the squad. The tweet put TS on the spot in the interview, and he responded honestly. If he responds any other way, he is going to get called out for lying.

If only Tim could just get us to defend as well as you defend him, eh? Just imagine that.

Sorry just to let you in on a little secret,I realise you don't know a lot about football/soccer....the team that scores the most goals ................fucking wins!

It might very well be unfair on Sherwood but every time we win I just can't help thinking its a fluke!

I absolutely hate the man with every bone in my body. The smug half grin on his face in every interview, his behaviour on the touchline, his interviews everything!

We have been playing with no shape, no fluidity, no flair, no anything for the majority of his short reign.

Yes some will question us if he was sacked now but it would be a clear message to our fans that we won't tolerate a c@#t in charge. Some say Van Gaal also has a gob but he can talk the talk because he has walked the walk, Tim fucking Sherwood has not!

Have you been in a coma and missed our team under AVB this season?

Wether intenionally or unintenionally you got the stats wrong, by adding 3 points to AVB and deducting 3 from Tim massively changes the points per game calculations of yours.

Sorry, you're right about the league points. AVB's points per game was better up until today's win, but we only have "easy" games left now.

By the way, AVB had our highest win percentage in the Premier League era. If Sherwood is now top, or even second, that's actually quite disturbing haha!

If Sherwood was to stay then quite a few of the players will probably want to leave. Not only that but it'd be difficult to convince players to sign. And if he was in charge for an entire season I would not be surprised to see the club fall further down the table.

It's sad that you can't see Sherwood is ruining the club.

what assumptions have I made? I have only commented on what I have heard on tv or read on twatter

You're assuming that Sandro's tweet was designed to undermine Sherwood.

All he did was tell his followers, some of whom had asked, that he isn't injured. He then wished the team good luck.

Hmm, I don't think you need to have Carol Vorderman on the phone, to tell you that somebody with the second highest loss rate in recent history, is far from statistically our best manager in recent history?

Sadly, some supporters take ALL games into account because, as supporters, they ALL count and, in ALL games Sherwood has been in charge of our team, he is 0.9% better than the mighty Christian Gross. No wonder he spouts his shit from such a high podium

Well, if you had read the post, totoner, you'd have seen that I clearly stated that somebody else posted those stats the other day. However, because I'm feeling kind, I looked on his wikipedia page & discovered this.

Under Tim Sherwood, PLAYED 25, WON 12, DRAWN 4, LOST 9 = Win percentage of 48%

World class!!

Tototoner, finnyid and eddiebailey will just ignore this post as the stats with the inclusion of all games played does not serve their agenda.

Better than Redknapp, Burkinshaw or Arthur Rowe

Nicholson was 49%

Villas-Boas has win ratio of 55%, he is the only previous manager apart from Nicholson with a better win ratio than Sherwood, post 20th century

So based on your twisted logic, if someone took over Spurs for one game and Spurs won, then that person is statistically the best manager Spurs has in history?

Personally I hope he's gone by tomorrow, after supporting this great club for over 30 years I have never detested a manager more. He has tried from day 1 to undermine Baldini and the summer signings publicly, he has ridiculed the clubs ambitions for Champions League football and watching the game today and previous games where we have failed to put any meaningful passing moves together, had no clear team shape and no clear game plan is very tough viewing.

We have some very good players, unfortunately their confidence is being eroded by this clown through his decisions to play people out of position, lack of tactics and public criticism of them. We have a squad bought to play 4-3-3, Eriksen, Paulinho, Chadli, Saldado and the rest deserve a chance to play in their correct positions. We scout these players, convince them to sign and then stick them with a dimwit who plays all of them out of position! We may only have a few weeks of the season left and 3 games to play but keeping this fool in place could have a huge negative affect on the team morale ahead of next season. He knows he's gone and he will continue to run his mouth off to the media undermining this club if he isn't removed. Hopefully Levy will make the big call.
Great post. Sums up everything I think of the man and the situation. Sacking him now is a big statement though and one that the club has to make to re-assure the people most important to the club: the fans.

I think I'm going to petition to the government. Anyone that thinks Sherwood is a good manager should be sectioned. The world is not a safe place with these lunatics running about.

The fact that the international media are referencing Tickle Me Timbo's interview as controversial, one in which he didn't even question referees or opposing players, shows that he doesn't have the tact to be a manager, let alone any of his tactical nonsense. He needs an interpreter.

Yes, for the first time in PL history an English manager needs an interpreter.
