So based on your twisted logic, if someone took over Spurs for one game and Spurs won, then that person is statistically the best manager Spurs has in history?

22 games is hardly one game, but of course it's hardly comparable for most of our past managers for various reasons. However it's rather comparable to that Portuguese charlatan whom some of you amazingly seem to still rate even if he gets it worse on so many levels than Tim you hate so much.

The manner in which Sherwood has communicated his views and opinions make his role untenable, but based on his results probably not. Whether he is coaching a team with any tactical instructions is debateable, the results he is achieving are reflected in most parts of our expectations.

My worry is that he knows he's gone, so wants to be as disruptive as possible before he goes.

If the question is whether Sherwood has been better than AVB then there's certainly a debate to be had.

But that isn't the question.

The question is whether Sherwood has been good enough results wise to justify all the damaging guff he comes out with.

Ultimately he hasn't been nearly good enough to justify that. As a result I can't wait to see the back of him.

The problem is it's a world cup year and a lot of clubs and players will want transfers sorted out before the tournament starts, as much as we all assume the idiot will be sacked, he is still officially in charge for another 12 months. I fear the likes of Hugo, Paulinho, Jan etc. will look at the situation and the uncertainty and tell their agents to get me out of here quick!

Think it's quite obvious players don't think he will be here come next season, cue to Sandro for example.

The club could and should come out and say the recent speculation has forced forward a decision and by mutual agreement Dimwit leaves immediately, the club will announce a new manager at the end of season. At least then there is some sort of confirmation for the unsettled players.

Yep, that masterstroke would probably makes us generally really enticing in the transfer market.

quote="jambreck, post: 3980454, member: 25506"]You're assuming that Sandro's tweet was designed to undermine Sherwood.

All he did was tell his followers, some of whom had asked, that he isn't injured. He then wished the team good luck.[/quote]

There was a later tweet where some fans questioned sherwoods for not picking him and he replyed lol lol

How would it make us any less enticing?

Fire what is in practice a caretaker manager who has done resultwise decent enough job with three games into season - hardly improves our image when it comes to well ran club. Reckon it would hurt much more than having Tim for 3 more games.

Id quite happily see the club part company with him now. If they did Id also like them to make it explicit in the press release that at least some of the decision was down to his media conduct, otherwise Jamie Redknapp and the other dimwits in the media would start a Tim love in.

Personally I don't think getting rid of him now would have any negative effect, he's not really bringing anything to the table he's simply relying on Lloris, Ade and Eriksen to get him results against teams we should be beating.

The benefits in terms of stopping the media circus and reassuring players would be well worth it in my opinion.

I think getting rid of a guy who seems quite keen on alienating certain players would make us look like a much better prospect for any potential transfer targets.

He makes the club look incredibly amateurish and the longer he does that the worse he makes the club look.

If players can't handle it for what is 3 rather meaningless fixtures they can fuck off for all I care. There is a limit how much pampering we should do for primadonnas.

We will be slaughtered in the press if we fire him now instead of summer. And they would make us look much more amateurish than his comments will.

If reports are to be believed Levy does or has rated this Dimwit very highly, recent media reports have stated the club will offer him a new position in another capacity! Dimwit has stated he would be interested in a technical role so in theory he could still have an influential position next season, we do not know!! Sandros comments, which he should have kept inhouse, show the level of unrest within the group. Players like Sandro, Hugo, Lamela and Jan have huge potential, we could lose them because of this idiot.

We signed 7 players last summer, we need 1 or 2 quality players not a huge overhaul of the squad. Baldini is experienced enough to negotiate and sell the club to potential signings, that's why I assume he was hired.

You reckon it would stop media circus? Really??? I think it would start one with serious shit throwing around, it will all go down easier in the summer.

If any of our players are willing to walk out because what is practically half a season interim manager or having that interim guy in charge for 3 more games, they are welcome to it. We don't need such.

He's gone. Three more games and he's gone. Three more weeks, three more games.

I don't understand the rush to get rid and I don't see the point of it either. Even the press are (laregely) expecting it to happen when the season is over.

Three more games and that's it. Why are people so desperate for their pound of flesh? The season will end, Sherwood will get his P45 and the next man will be announced in due course. Then we can settle down for a summer of fruitless transfer speculation, watching the world cup and wondering who the next fall guy will be.

Come October we'll have a nice shiny new 'so and so out' thread and we can do it all to ourselves again.

And again the puppetmaster should not be criticised.

Nobody is saying the players should be pampered for fucks sake. But they also shouldn't be subjected to Sherwood's bullshit both in terms of his tactics and the way he speaks in public.

I massively disagree. Everyone in the press agrees that he's an amateur. They are all laughing at the situation and I think they'd all accept if it was announced now that Sherwood was going.

I don't expect him to actually be sacked. But we should officially confirm he's leaving at the end of the season as soon as possible.

No point sacking him certainly for the sake of three games. But confirming that he won't be here at the end of the season would just make everyone feel better. Probably even Tim.

I think it would stop the long term circus that's been running for months because he can't keep his mouth shut.

At the end of the day most people know the media have a bias, Harry was given a pass for a lot of the stupid shit he used to say because he was their mate and always available for a good soundbite, Sherwood is getting the same kind of free ride because pundits like Jamie Redknapp, merson etc see him as one of them. AVB would have been slaughtered by the press if he said the same stuff Sherwood has.

With that in mind I think even if a media shitstorm started because we sacked an interim manager who can't keep his mouth shut, which i don't think it would, im happy we could weather it and it wouldn't be as damaging as keeping him in charge for a second longer than necessary.

Have we overtaken Redcafe and RAWK as source of humor? Interim manager who is gone in the summer won 3-1 and it's yet another complete meltdown.

FinnYid you should write a help book called

"An answer for everything"

Its a guide on how to ignore opinions and logic. It only works on this forum and thread but I think you'll be able to sell a couple of books.
