What other route can we take? Let's be honest here, the only home grown manager I can think of that's available right now is Moyes. Don't think he'd suit us at all, and will certainly not take us any farther. Can Poch do it? I don't know, I doubt it really, but it's worth a shot. Much rather him than Moyes.

He's got more Premier League credentials than AVB did at least, in that he wasn't a flop in his last team. He plays a similar style but with more of an emphasis of high pressing, so the players will need to adjust, but not massively. He's certainly got more tact and technical knowledge than Sherwood. People worry about De Boer as he's never managed in this league, again, Poch has. The only other manager around and possibly available at a stretch (and I mean a big fucking Mr Fantastic stretch) that has the experience in this league, plus can back it up with titles is Benitez. I'm not a huge fan of Poch, but it makes a lot more sense. It's the safest option that ticks as many boxes as possible.

That said if poch gets de job, it won't stop me talkin him up to any non spurs friends, praisin de attractive football his teams play and how he gives youth a chance!!!!

I look at the squad of players at Southampton and then I look at where they finished in the league.............he hasn't done that great a job.......they finished where I would expect them to.
I think going for Pochettina is a mistake.

Look on page 120 of the fdb thread I posted a couple of links to article's that have been previously posted about him, sounds very different to the apparently uninterested Laudrup

I was thinking about that earlier. I see people wanting us to buy Shaw, Lovren, Clyne, Schneiderlin, Ward-Prowse, Lallana or Rodriguez + their manager. And yet they finished 8th.

What makes you so 100% sure FDB would be any better than poch?

You're missing a key point though. Those players are only at that level because of Pochettino.
