Its a shame that four of the South American teams are in the same quadrant of the bracket. If the draw had worked out, an all-South American semi's could have happened.

All our players through. Good stuff.

And of our ex-players;

Modric, Corluka, Pletikosa OUT. Zokora OUT. Palacios OUT. Boateng OUT. Postiga OUT. Luongo OUT. Only Dempsey, Dos Santos and Zeigler through.

Let that be a lesson to them. Leave Spurs and you (probably) won't make it out of the group stage.

That is quite a result for the US Sawkerballerz tbf. Fucking hell that group was scary. Fully deserved and the Belgium game could be a cracker.

Cracking first round and apart from Germany I don't think any of the usual big boys have really stood out, genuinely think Brazil could be in trouble against Chile and haven't got a clue who is going to win!!

Let's hope he can bring some of that back to Spurs, we need a Jan in his 2012/13 mood.

I'm sure he will & he's top class in 2012/2013 mood, in a lot of ways we are lucky to have him. I normally wouldn't but I'm happy to be fickle on this one as there are extenuating circumstances for him last term.
