Veljkovic is in fact a CENTRE BACK, he used to play CM, but he was deemed too tall.
To link this to ITK....we sure do need one of those CBs considering Veljkovic isn't ready yet...huh?

I thought it was the other way around? He used to be a centre back and now he plays DM because he's too short?

It's my impression it's now the opposite bud. Remember reading somewhere the coaches didn't think he was physical and large enough to at his milestones to be a CB, but possessed good foot work, which is now why they've pushed him back to CDM. Simply just from looking at him, I must say it makes sense.

his wikipedia entry lists him at 1.73m (~5'8")
but elsewhere he is listed at 1.84m (~6')
so....less than 6'7 regardless

His shot tally was an illusion, as he was far more predictable on the left. On the right, he actually took players on and made them backpedal, while on the left he just ran to the byline or across the box to shoot even worse. If Poch can harness that unpredictability from the right and humble him so he can have a clearer mind when to shoot and when to pass, I think he could be a great talent for us.
