SC self destruct in 10...9...8....Stobart saying neither is imminent or close and other clubs interested
SC self destruct in 10...9...8....Stobart saying neither is imminent or close and other clubs interested
DM calls her a 'dream wrecker' - this is from January.
And who decides who is reliable? The more Tweets we get/allow the more likely people will assume its all fair game. We've tried it.
.
This is what I meant also @Archibald&CrooksI didn't mean tweets in here, but I mean if a journo who has known links to a club/certain players tweets something...can we alert peoples attention to it in the relevant thread that it was posted. Like Stobart for instance in the relvant transfer thread?
Obviously not posting them directly in here though.

One iffy post begets a shitload. People will almost certainly not go into the other thread. Well, a few sensible ones might, but we had this last night and it resulted in a shitload of posts about it.
The system we have was arrived at after a number of different formats were tried, it's the easiest all round really and hasn't worked too badly up until this window.
Think you answered your own question there.Just out of interest, why was the specific twitter thread of a few transfer windows ago abandoned? Not that I found it useful (it was full of bullshit), but it was entertaining nonetheless.
Think its probably how the fee is paid, and bonuses etc.I still believe we'll sign them both, but the explosion of reports yesterday made me think there was too much smoke for no fire. Terms may be agreed in principle, perhaps the fee for both is the sticking point.
I think BBC just ran the Press Association story, to be fair. PA's Southampton reporter did the story saying it was close, then circulated it to the various media outlets (as it's their job to do); some chose to run it, others didn't.BBC don't often report crap IMO. Who's to say that JJ and Stobart don't share a source and that source happens to be a few days off the pace on this deal.
Sadly, all too often, the BBC do report un verified stories. The main culprit being their transfer update pages where this presumably came from: the work experience kid trawling through twitter is about as much of an editorial filter as they use on there!BBC don't often report crap IMO. This is often how momentum builds around stories, with people saying "three different papers/websites have run it now, it must be true" without realising those different outlets are just using a story that's popped up on their PA feed that afternoon.

PA's Southampton reporter is Peach, and he's very good connections at Southampton, obviously.
Always take the positive? Am I lost or is this really SC? All this optimism is starting to get to me nowDon't forget that when JJetset says it's not as close as everyone seems to think he is effectively still confirming that it is live and it's not just rumour or passing interest; always take the positive.
Not debating that mate, or knocking Grey Fox or anyone else - just pointing out something that may not be obvious to everyone regarding multiple outlets using the same source - as I've been (un)fortunate enough to work on a number of newspaper sports desks over the years.PA's Southampton reporter is Peach, and he's very good connections at Southampton, obviously.
