Saints fan got it spot on:

I think the ''destroyed'' comments comes from what he's now going to have to do. He's clearly now going to force a move via agents/media/striking.

He will go, and our friend Ralf will find his position untenable. But once again, I'm sure we'll hear the fact that ''he wanted to go, we want players who want to be here''. No, we know want to know why the flying **** so many want out. It's not normal, something is horrendously wrong.

It's weird being on the other end of one of these transfer sagas. I feel..I feel...so Madrista right now. I hate being in America where no one can appreciate why I look so smug right now.

Surely there is someone that can play this role other than Schneiderlin - the tactics aren't that revolutionary that there is only one player in the World that can play this position.....

When we didn't get Moutinho we bought Dempsey (I think?) - not the same sort of player exactly!

We must have a proper plan B here..... not Clint!

Don't think Dempsey was a result of us not getting Moutinho, more of a buy because he was available. As for no one else being able to play that role, obviously that's not the case, but Schneiderlin said it took the team 6 months to learn Poch's system, and he's now had over a year's practice

Fudge me, after last summer, I had looked forward to a summer of smooth sailing. But here I am, not wearing trousers and pressing F5 every five minutes.

This situation is mental enough to speculate that the whole chairman statement followed by the twitter outburst was planned to make the fans feel that they should get rid, deflecting the blame from the board...

Difference between us and them is that we haven't used the press to push a deal whatsoever. In fact, the whole story started yesterday with a Saints reporter! Our club have said NOTHING. It's all from the Saints end.

Page 100. Time to wrap this up Levy!!
I see this one dragging out to the last moments. Its very similar to the Bale deal in a way, MS only wants to join us, that puts us in a decent position to be patient and watch the price decrease. Of course I could be wrong and we could slap in a huge bid and get it done tomorrow, but I dont think Levy's mind works like that.

I do find this amusing and as painfully know...player power always wins.

Spot on! Sitting here wearing only socks and boxers postponing other much more (in the grand scheme of things) important stuff I should have been doing.

It's not the right way to go about things. Imagine if Bale tweeted something like that last summer. Just cos it benefits us this time, dosn't make it any better.

He should confirm a transfer request via his agent, that's it.

Its absolutely the right way to go about it. What bale did was snidey, cheap and cowardly. He kept us fans in a state of false hope for weeks on end with his gutless hideaway pansey fucking shit and all we could do was guess his real intentions. Morgan, on the other hand as come out and made his feelings known so all Saints fans know the truth. Actions of a proper man if you ask me.

Well he didn't because I guess he had too much respect for the club, but Modric did something very similar, as I recall, the rat faced little runt.

It may not be the right way to go about things, but that's no longer an excuse not to try and get the best players we can. Same goes for any club. It's a bloody jungle out there, so no prisoners and no sympathy from me for any other club who suffers what we did at the end of the season before last.

I'm damned sure nobody gave a toss about us when it happened to us, in fact I reckon there will have been plenty who found it very funny.

That's fair enough on Dempsey, but if it is such a key position we must have other options

I hear you that he's ready made for the position, but he can't do it on his own and the other 10 men need to learn the tactics also

Personally I think there's been a lot of Schneiderlin hysteria, and I would be happy for Poch to work with what he's got in that area of the pitch

Would much rather we bought a superstar centre back!

Imagine if we'd sold Lloris, Vertonghen, Walker, Sandro, Lamela, Eriksen, tried to sell him and then after he'd already packed up his house we panicked and told him he's fucking staying despite the entire club being fucked. And that he can kiss his international chances goodbye while he's at it.

But no you're right, it's just like Bale

Of course not, but there are a number of big pluses that come with buying Schneiderlin over them. He know the coach, knows the league and knows the system we're going to play. Instead of needing time to bed in he'd hit the ground running from the get-go, which is what we seem to be aiming for with buying players from other PL teams.
