That guys post about Morgan growing a sunflower had me in stitches, I love how footie fans can crack jokes at the most inappropriate times, it's what makes football the best. Feel sorry for the saints fans in all honesty. The berbatov and modric sagas damaged my love for footie as at that moment I realised just how much player power had shifted.

Not 100% sure what we have done wrong here, and this is a completely different situation to the Madrid Bale Saga. They used the media to unsettle him, and the pursuit was very public and would not have ended any other way.

I am sure we have spoken to him (and J Rodriguez) but considering all the players they sold i am sure we had some form of permission.

This guy has been very quite, not kicking up a stink and is told he has to stay when maybe after 6 years of service and the fire sale that is happening around him would like to move to a bigger, more ambitious club, that is unfortunately that is the food chain (i had no issues with players wanting to go to Madrid, just the way they went about it). Whilst this has happened he saw Lovren basically bending over and lubing himself up for Liverpool and he is gone, that must leave a sour taste.

We've done nothing wrong. ALL the quotes are coming from Saints, not Levy, not Poch and not any Spurs spokesperson. Nothing on our end whatsoever.

I agree. Not a very big fan of players doing what MS just did, but to be fair all the noise in this case has been coming from the Southampton camp.

It's not like Spurs have been tapping him up through the media the way Chelsea and later Real Madrid did with Luka, and again Real Madrid with Bale last summer. There's no comparison really.

I completely support the player. (Even if remembering have pissed I was at Modric). He has dedicated 6 years to the club, and played hard for the 1st team after climbing the ranks. He now needs to play for a bigger club to secure his spot with the national team. After seeing Southampton crumble and players get their dream move, players who have done far less for the club and who don't even need a bigger club to keep their standing with the resepective clubs, Schneiderlin, the loyal servant, is all of the sudden where the line is drawn? In honesty, I understand his actions and feelings.

José Dominguez, post: 4145907, member: 27722"]No doubt about it in my mind. I'm thinking Soton allowed him to speak to us while they spoke about a fee. He 'agreed' to join that was when the sneaky follow happened and now he's found out actually Soton don't want to sell, hence meltdown.
I wouldn't be surprised if their chairman had agreed to sell and has now panicked over the reaction to the player fire sale.

Time to reach for the beer & popcorn, this window just got very interesting ...

Saints fans seem to think the chambers deal has triggered something their end (s##t hitting fan basically), they seem more disappointed in that sale than Lallana etc

Not sure if true but a saints fan also said MS and J-Rod only recently joined twitter ... Suggesting for cynical reasons.

In most circumstances yes, but if we made promises to him about our ambition and then went on to sell, say: Lloris, Vertonghen, Walker, Lamela, Dembele... in one summer, I'd say he'd have cause for complaint.

Yeah, I guess you're right. The board should get the stick (or most of it anyway) not Morgan in this case.

We've done nothing wrong but I understand why Southampton fans are angry.

Feel pretty sorry for them.

Yeah, me too. I feel bad for Schneiderlin as well as it seems clear he was hoping for an amicable parting and the Soton board are going to force him to make the divorce ugly. From the outside looking in it seems Soton told Morgan he could go but when the avalanche of bad press started they changed their minds and pulled the rug out from underneath he and Rodriguez.

Still hasn't removed it- and I think he has no intention to do so.
It'll stay, do the rounds and undo what Saints put out this afternoon. He clearly wants out and unless they want to keep a very unhappy player, they'll have to accept an offer sooner or later.

I know, just people banging on about Bale and how the player reacts, my point is this is nowhere near the same thing.
