Who: The Goat
When: 29th July
Where: SC
The Goat hears that contrary to his expectations, Schneiderlin has been told (by senior management) that he's staying at the club which prompted his Tweet. Our source expects this to get messy.

Well, every summer transfer window contains some sort of saga involving us and here it is...

This is going to last a good while longer and quite possibly until end of August which helps no one.

Also might scupper the move is Napoli choosing to look elsewhere and Sandro's future in limbo.

Some messy shit indeed...

I know we're all talking about the tweet but any chance someone can direct me to the ITK about the whole ongoings of Southampton? Wanted to share with with a fan of theirs.

In my opinion this is exactly what was going to happen.

After the statement from Krueger after the negative press he was receiving yesterday this is the best way to save face. Now he can declare that he refused to sell any more players but when a player clearly wants to leave what choice does he have.

When a player truly wants out then they normally get it. Anyone remember Bale? :)

The difference is though, the clubs buying our players were always going to cough up in the end.

With this situation I can see Levy lighting up the proverbial cigar, rubbing his hands Mr Burns style and thinking we now hold all the cards. Wouldn't surprise me if we don't put in another offer and just let it run.

In fact it wouldn't surprise me if he's thinking of leaving it weeks and then lowering our offer.

Not with Woolwich breathing down his neck (you'd like to hope so anyway)!

Wenger holds 2 aces though, CL and higher wages, if we dither then MS will think we no longer interested and go for Wenger's advances, we are not the only game in town so your idea is very dangerous

Didn't previous ITK state he wants to work with Poch again? Poch is a major factor. He already knows he'll start games and be in the position he's best at.

Believe me, I'm not advocating it! This is Levy though, remember "he's different".

3 aces, in fact. They can out bid us too.

Yeh but they're also one of the few PL clubs with more MF players on their books right now than us.
