If Naughton looks to be off, then it's a shame. I feel he'd have hit new heights this season under Poch.

Definitely grew into his role in the absence of Walker last season, and technically probably the best tackler we have at the club.

If we are to bring in Musacchio, with Dawson leaving, I'd expect one of Chiriches, Dier or Kaboul to be employed at RB for a number of games when Walker needs a rest.

Fredericks should go out on loan, and really needs to work on putting on some muscle and the technical/positional side of defending.

Still I'd rather have two specialist RB's and there might be some truth in the Lopes rumours. A more similar RB to Walker than Naughton is, in many respects.

Sandro just posted a picture of him on Instagram in a hotel with Bobby (and Rose in the background) so I assume he is travelling.
Nah Sandro is just going because... well aeroplanes can't really fly, Sandro throws them.

Genuine question: Why is JJ's opinion deemed ITK-worthy? Especially considering talk of Vertonghen's new deal has been common knowledge for a while.
I'm sure this has been answered already. He isn't a typical ITK hearing rumours
Simply put He knows. He doesn't think he knows, doesn't have a friend who thinks he knows. He simply knows. Everything.

I think the dier signing is HUGE!!! will be a rock moving forwards and future captain

There are a few interview clips on YT about his experiences playing over in Europe. For sure he makes it quite clear in one of them that the team is trained on using the ball from the back through the midfield in front of them. Being disciplined and working very hard when the opposition has the ball. This appears to be the player DNA that Poch is looking for.

A great talent who appears to have a mirror image attitude of Eriksen. I think that whoever sourced him was looking for more than just his potential as a footballer but someone that say in four years time could become a Captain of the Club. He certainly comes across more of a Ledley King than you would think.

Really pleased with this signing, and as excited about a Spurs player than i have been in quite some time.

This transfer window has been fucking great so far! Three new needed additions, new contracts for Hugo and Rose and now it looks like Jan will sign a new contract as well, I'm not complaining. Schneiderlin would be cool but I don't see him as a crucial signing. I kind of get the same feeling as I got about Paulinho last year, all of a sudden we have loads of people claiming Schneiderlin is amazing and would solve all our problems in midfield, I'd rather we stick with the CM's that we have and see how they do under Pochettino. A left winger would be nice though...

Hope thats not why rose signed a new contract!!

Out of the 4 of them. It has to be Paulinho to go for me. He just doesn't work hard enough to validate him being on the pitch. He never bothers to run enough to get himself into good positions off the ball, and when the opposition have possession, he is very slow to track back and get his foot in.

He scored half a dozen goals last season, i'd love to see that return from Lennon, Townsend, Dembele, or Sandro next season. Most of those goals were passes to him in the penalty box, so saying he "never bothers to run to get himself into good positions off the ball" is simply not true. You may be confusing him with Soldado..........

Anyone remember my meltdown over Poch?

From everything ive heard, its well and truly over with now. Sorry Poch and sorry all those that backed him over FdB. The vibe from inside the club right now is actually fantastic.

I have every confidence in all players he wants to keep or sell. Even if he tried to buy Jack Wheelchair now I'd back him ;)

Takes a big man to admit he's wrong. (y)

Think we all are united on the Poch band-wagon now and everything i've heard this pre-season has been nothing but positivity surrounding our management structure - even the tweet re Levy, Baldini, Broomfield and Poch all in unison over transfer targets.

Better days ahead I feel!

It takes a grown man (ffs) to admit, with true sincerity, that he was wrong.

Props big fella.
