The club have said to their matey journos that its £12m rising to £16m with add ons. £16m was always the final sum for LFC they wouldn't go over. In the end it was agreed by paying a wee bit more upfront and Moreno pushing hard for the move and saying he would only go to a CL club narrowing the field significantly.

LFC did exactly what Spurs are doing with Moustache man. Patience and finally getting their man for an acceptable price. Key will be how badly Moustache wants the move and how hard he'll push for it.

You're actually Ian Ayre aren't you? It all makes sense now. You have insider knowledge and seem to have things under control but just when things look like they're falling into place, blam!

I think about what our defense could be like in a few years and it's really promising. Walker is only 24 and in my opinion, if he can get back to full health, can continue to develop. Yedlin is a promising youngster who could really be a fantastic RB if his development (primarily in defensive skill set) continues to improve. Veljkovic looked pretty damn good in preseason, Dier did as well. Musacchio is only 23 years old. Davies is only 21 years old and Rose 23. It'd be a really young group of players that can be expected to grow together and easily become a fantastic unit.

Bringing in Musacchio to me is a lot about not only building the squad for this season but many to come. Well worth the patience on our part to get the deal done.

One thing seemingly comes across about Poch-that he appears to be pragmatic about transfer targets, he has players he's prefer to get but it seems that if he can't get his preferred choices he has options in mind with similar skills, strengths and attributes. I think he would have liked Lovren and maybe Hector Moreno, but with Lovren wanting Liverpool and Moreno breaking his leg he presumably had Musacchio in mind
If the deal looks like stalling no doubt he'll have other targets but right now it certainly appears as if we are continuing to negotiate
Whilst it would be nice to have things tied up I imagine we will have a decent new CB in by the close of window, probably Musacchio but if not there are other decent options

I wouldnt say no to a genuine exciting attacking signing though, if we could manage to somehow get a Depay type level of talent then by all means do it.

Get this done and then MS and Remy on deadline day and I would be more excited about our transfers than I was last season.... That's a lot to ask, but at least there seems to be a genuine strategy to the way are addressing the gaps in our squad.

This saga is horrendous!

I think it's just this thread that's horrendous!

We're trying to complete a multi-million pound deal involving 3 different parties with different agendas and idiots in this thread are turning into whiney bitches because the player hasn't signed in a matter of a few days. I think alot of people need a huge dose of MAN THE FUCK UP!

Ground rules?? How many ways of telling someone, its just a discussion by like minded people on a specific topic, if someone has an opposite viewpoint it means only that, not 'I must know more than you' or 'look im waggling all these facts about so my cock is considerably bigger than yours' , are there? Maybe im getting old, I used to enjoy reading people locking horns and getting emotional over regurgitated trivia or potentotrivia, now I just think, thank fuck im not him, he has issues that would medically require him to refrain from social interaction.
