BEN on daws: Not def going
Tell Ben to tell Daws he's going lol
BEN on daws: Not def going
Lennon must have some dirt on Levy, because at the end of the day, he always seems to survive the cuts.Interpreting Trix's ITK, it's pretty clear that Poch wants to play with one striker and 3 behind.
I think alonside the football brain and skill of Eriksen and Lamela, he wants a strong goalscoring player, with a physical presence and a good workrate. Chadli played that role today, and I suspect Poch wants either Rodriguez or Welbeck. Wellbeck would cost £15m plus big wages, and as Rodriguez is almost out of contract, we could probably get him cheaper. Rodriguez also has a better goalscoring record.
As an attacking force, Lennon is no better than he was an 18-year-old, and is unlikely ever to score goals (in part because of his technique but also because he doesn't have the composure in front of goal). Townsend is still a project, who plays with his head down and is not yet a team player. Chadli isn't as flashy a player, but he proved today that he can provide an end product, and he works for the team.
Going by the ITK, I suspect we keep Chadli, sell one or both of Azza and Townsend, and buy one of Rodriguez or Welbeck.

Well, he's probably the only player Levy can look in the eye…….. they are about the same heightJJ has said in the past that Lennon is Levy's favourite player at the club.

The Goat has heard that Southampton's stance on Schneiderlin has privately changed over the course of this weekend. Also that allowing us to sign him would be further entertained should Levy provide assurance regarding Townsend and agree not to make a move for Rodriguez.
