I think we all have a duty to thank Michael Dawson for the sterling service he gave the club. When he joined us, we were all so happy to have him here, he added a lot of strength to our back four at the time and no one can deny that he has always been an honest servant to the cause.
Yes, he had some moments which let us all down but we also know that he was the one most hurt for his occasional shortcomings.
I am sad to see him leave but we need to move on. I wish him all the best for the future, he really deserves our praise.

I still think j rod and ms will arrive this window, apparently the Southampton hierarchy are furious at the fitness team for posting a video of how well and how sharp j rod is looking during rehab. They realise they are very vulnerable because of contract situation and various clubs looking to swoop

Fazio in for Dawson without a massive net outlay seems like a very sensible bit of business. That would leave our defence looking considerably better, with two decent options in all defensive positions.
