Putting our hatred of CFC aside, it has to be more likely we would sell to them this window than Utd. Paulinho would improve United much more than he would improve Chelsea, the chavs will probably be willing to pay more, and we are competing for third/fourth with United this year, where realistically Chelsea are title challengers whether or not we deal with them. If Poch isn't keen, and we know that money can bring in a player who will improve us, I'm actually ok with him going there.

Hasn't there been ITK that Chelsea would not ever sell to us?

If that's the case, we're not going to sell to this either.

Plus it could go some way to rebuilding the relationship. Perhaps they'd be inclined to sell to us.

If we are willing to let him go I hope DL doesn't get too personal over selling to Chelsea, i'd much rather him go there than United.

I think that both sides hate each other and the chances of any transfer between the two clubs would be one of those moments that would make Satan say "is it getting a bit chilly in here?"

Although I do think we have a good relationship with Jose.

I'll drive Paulinho to wherever he wants to go myself. Horrid player IMO with no obvious strengths, apart from the 'ability' to get into the box. If we get the chance to recoup our money on him we should sell.

And all you idiots saying don't sell to Chelsea, err why not? If they're willing to pay good money for a player that can't get on our bench and give us the chance to buy Poch's number one target in MS, then why wouldn't we sell? Are we rivals? No. They're going to probably piss the league and we have an outside chance of top 4.

Let's just say it is Chelsea. Don't you think it odd that this 'horrid player with no obvious strengths' is wanted by the team that will 'probably piss the league'? I'd imagine Paulinho will be chomping at the bit to win a Premier league trophy and quite possibly a Champions league trophy rather than sitting on the bench at a team with an outside side chance of reaching the top 4.

It's probably loan offers for Paulinho. One from Everton to replace Barkley. The other from Southampton to replace (insert any number of players here...).

I wouldn't sell him. What's the rush? If Poch can get Chadli & Rose playing, surely there is hope for Paulinho. Not a lot of goals in our midfield at present.

Dawson: "I will look forward to going back to the Lane. The fans were unbelievable to me for 10 years, I thank everyone at the club."

I've slated this guy for years. "Donkey Dawson" etc etc. Have to hold my hands up and say I was out of order. I won't miss him as a player but what a great bloke. We'll struggle to find another player as commited and genuine. Hope he plays every match for Hull.

Especially those against Spurs right ;)

My mate keeps telling me Chelski are a foreigner over. They don't need another to try and thumb in too.

I don't care. If Mourinho thinks he's good and they set off into the sunset together with their medals in hand, good luck to them. I would rather have the money and subsequent incoming of MS.

I think it would be funny, Chelski buying a Spurs 'reject' :)

atlanta yid with an update in the 'watch the news' thread:
Fazio looks like its all but done
Townsend to Southampton may have some legs as part of a swap deal for MS
Soldado might be offski if we can get a decent price for him

You've got to think we are in for an attacker if we are open to dealing Townsend and possibly Soldado.

I would imagine one suitor for Paulinho would almost definitely be Everton.

Martinez loves a loan deal and what with Barkely out indefinitely, I would imagine Paulinho would deployed the same.

For me though, whilst I have faith in Paulinho's ability, I'm slightly uncertain whether he will carve out a role in Poch's system.

How have we arrived at Chelsea being a possible destination please?

Well ITK said two top 8 teams! Also Mourinho was said to admire him. So you should be glad we have just been focusing on a couple and not started talking about all top 8 teams. You can't say this aint ITK related!!
