You can certainly tell who the glass half empty and glass half full people are after that Facebook message.

Me I'm glass just half. Don't read into anything anyone posts or tweets. Just wait for official confirmation one way or the other.

Something still doesn't make sense to me. Why would we suddenly stop our interest in Song unless something else had happened?
I'm not convinced the Song interest was real tbh. I think it was always MS or nothing although I would take Song on loan personally

However this turns out we've been very unlucky with this deal. Any other time this would have been a realistic, straight forward transfer similar to dembele from Fulham, player on wages we can easily double at a club below us on the food chain etc. However saints have lost an unusually high amount of top players this summer & due to the crazy fees the desperate united & Suarez cash Liverpool have paid them they've set an unrealistic valuation on what previously would have been a £15million player. Added complication that they don't like us & we had just taken their manager.
Might still happen but it's a complicated deal I'm sure.
1 thing's for sure, if Morgan is now "happy" to stay which I very much doubt, they will have had to severely increase his wages to what we were offering him.

MS will not be signing any new contract with Soton soon. This could turn very Bale-ish on Soton if they get relegated.

I think people are looking into this a bit too deeply.

He hasn't signed a new contract, various ITK has said that he's NOT happy, regardless of what Koeman has said. The majority of ITK's have said that if it'll happen, it'll be very, very late.

If you think about it, it's a very odd picture to put up. Why not a picture of Saints celebrating a goal? To me, it seems like he's saying that he is being forced to 'march on' - it hardly shows that he's proud to play for a great club that he respects, trusts & knows will succeed going forward does it? There's plenty of time before the deadline & we shouldn't lose patience because we haven't had a new player fix in a whole 2 days.. I'm certainly in this one till the bitter end!

Keep calm, carry on.. expect nothing, hope for everything!

But we were slow off the mark with our interest.

I think he's coming. I also think we will bring in one more...a few shocks always occur in the last few days.

If wages were such an issue then why are West Ham in talks for him?
Do we know that for sure?

Or are West Ham talking to him the same way Arsenal are talking to Falcao?

As in not talking at all, but it makes for good print.

Arsenal's interest was never really reported by anything credible- virtually everyone is reporting West Ham's interest in Song.

If you noticed shaw, Lallana, Chambers and lambert were blatantly targeted by the clubs that eventually bought them before the end of last season. We didn't have the luxury as Poch wasn't even our manager at that point.

If we bid enough we will get him that simple, picture on Twitter means nothing IMO. Things can change very quickly this weekend, we all know this.

This is true.

At the end of the day it comes down to money, it always does.

MS can explain that picture whatever way he likes. The fact he didn't say anything, in addition to putting the picture up, probably reflects that nothing is certain.

The only way this is happening is if Andros is going to them IMO. They need a winger and apparently he's their top target.

So still some hope.

What picture?

Its a couple of pages back...he put up a Southampton's fan picture.

I know I've laughed at a few people reading too much into things but I'm about to do the same here...

Maybe its a message thanking the fans in particular - as it was the Club he was pissed off at, not the fans. And that picture is meant to reflect that?

Also would explain why he hasn't removed the original tweet aimed at the Board...

Think I'm on to something to be fair!!

All optimistic again lol
