so everytime there is contact thats not a shoulder to shoulder then it is a foul, yeah ok mate.
You are taking it too literal, anyway I have been busy but here is the part of the rule book that matters. He barely grabbed him but it gave the referee a decision to make and he shouldn't have.

We have had the chance to move them both on this window, but they are still here..

Holtby will be out the door tomorrow. If Southampton are willing to pay 10 mill for Andros then I would bite their hand off. Obviously if a deal involved MS then even better but I feel we have been priced out of that one.

What we need is REAL quality up front, I've never liked Adebayor and today was further proof that he just doesn't cut it. Feckin sort it Levy, for once in your feckin life!!!!
But a world class striker wouldn't have stopped lamela losing the ball 50 times, lloris unable too kick a ball to a spits player, Dier very poor, Kaboul terrible, Townsend shocking. The list goes on. We've got far
More problems on other areas for me

We are a top 6 team with new manger and new tactics, Liverpool are a top four team who spend like one with a manager who is in his third season at the club. We were never going to win today and if we had it would have been an upset. No point moaning about it, we need to find our feet and that will take months not weeks. I think we are missing a superstar attacking player but Levy won't pay for one so we have to make do with what we have.

I am amazed at how many people are shocked by today's result and performance, we squeaked past an okay West Ham and dominated a shit QPR, today was always going to be one test to far for us. Unfortunately in this day and age money talks and without spending big we have to come together as a team. We have a decent squad with a couple of players who have the potential to be great in a year or two. Expecting Lamela or Eriksen to be that game changing player after one season and at only 22 is frankly stupid. They will take time, years maybe, to reach their peaks. We shouldn't expect them to be carrying our team now no matter how much they cost. Maybe in a two years, but not now after only having one season in England.

Today was nothing worth getting upset about.

I will say tho, playing Kaboul today after he played 90 on Thursday and expecting anything more then a leggy performance was a little nuts. Really odd choice if you ask me and I feel sorry for him as I'm sure people will judge him regardless.

Jamie and Niall summed the game up. Both said we needed agricultural balls. We should have put Kane on and gone long ball. The alarm bells were ringing for me when I saw only 1 striker on the pitch and one on the bench.
The result stinks but what stinks more is MoPo getting selection and tactics wrong and the complete lack of confidence.
Ade seemed like he was acting in a football film and Lamela was like a spoilt child.
Dier's inexperience cost us the game but I don't like the way Kaboul and Verts hung him out to dry.
I think MoPo needs to really analyse this performance. He got it wrong.

Agree. Liverpool really aren't all that. Yet they out played us today. Scary

But City beat them at a canter. But Stoke beat City (who offered not an awful lot).

Football innit.

Jesus Christ, we took a kicking from a good team, it's happens, that's football. We've got a young manager with an attacking, exciting philosophy. We've got a young squad with tons of ability and potential.

We're 6 points into a 9 point season so good start. I've personally enjoyed watching us this season which, as a start, is the most important thing to me personally.

We've made some very decent signings who will improve us gradually. We've got some year in players who are already showing signs of improvement.

I'm fully confident of a decent season watching attractive football. Think a lot of supporters need to have a reality check, be patient and have a bit of faith.

To boo a team 3 games into a new reign is an embarrassment, totally uncalled for and counter productive. Have to say if I were playing for spurs I'd loath some of our 'so called' support.

Our job is to encourage and support the team, to make an outrageous amount of noise at the lane and create a fortress that the players will respond to knowing the fans have their back, no matter what.

Don't be fickle, don't knee jerk and certainly don't put added pressure on a new regime, it'll only damage a team we all so desperately (not sure all supporters feel this way, some seem to thrive in negative misery) want to succeed and flourish.

I thought Adebayor was actually decent first half, he was chasing a lot of lost balls, getting the ball and running on the turn, he was pulling the Liverpool defence out of position. On another day we could have been 3 down if Balotelli had decided to work on his aim and Chadli should have buried that chance before half time which would have seen us go in 1-1.

The penalty was a joke and not a penalty in a million years, but Liverpool are continuing where they left off last season with soft penalties, that killed off the tie altogether. That's not really an excuse because Liverpool were much much better than us. They may have lost a world class player like we did, but they have Sterling, Balotelli, Sturridge who can win games out of nothing.

I think quite a few people were getting giddy about our recent form but today woke us up a bit. Our defence has been weak for quite a while. When opposition see the likes of Rose, Walker, Kaboul, Naughton etc, they must fancy their chances for a goal.

Lamela has had a terrific start for Spurs this season and it's good that he's faced tough opposition, they didn't let Lamela or Eriksen much time on the ball, but facing tough opposition will only make them better.

I remember back in the day we had the likes of Sandro and Parker in the middle protecting the defence but for creativity they will give 0 percent, that's how I feel with Capoue and Bentaleb in front of the defence, people will say they're important but the fact that we conceded 3 and it could have been 7 or 8 shows it doesn't always work, we offered nothing going forward and no help to our poor defence either

Wasn't that keen seeing Eriksen come off even though he couldn't get into the game and replacing with someone who doesn't score or assist, Dembele was frustrating running forwards then passing it back constantly, as for Townsend that was a poor mistake but he will regret that one

We still have many players who can win us a game and a capable squad, Liverpool are a very good team so it's not the end of the world afterall, they'll be up there again

Our worst player was our captain

When the captain cant perform how can he motivate and inspire others to perform?

Only 'consolation' is Sturridge and Balotelli didn't score today

Clusterfuck

Oh really? Cause I would think that losing AT HOME 0-3 to them on the back of the 0-5 and 4-0 defeats IS 'worth getting upset about' actually.
So you would judge Poch on previous managers records? If this result had come in a months time, once the squad had adapted to the new system, style of play and we had finished our transfer business then I would agree with you.... But the team haven't adapted yet and we haven't concluded our business. I think the team that started today will be very different to the one starting in two, three games time. When you have a new manager the first 4,5 games of the season are always a trial period when everyone is getting used to the new system, Liverpool are not in that position. Yes it sucks we lost but it's far to early to start throwing toys out of the pram, there are many games left and it's unfortunate we came up against Liverpool so early. There will be teething problems, it's only natural with new management, just be happy we are not Utd.

What?
1st goal he lost Sterling then the penalty and where was he for the 3rd goal?

Would the first and third one not be Kaboul's responsibility? The third one definitely (as it was bang in front of me after Townsend contrived to fuck up).

The penalty? I didn't see a foul in the box. ;)
