BAE??????????

We can still loan out players to Champ clubs can't we? Better to subsidise his wages surely at one of the relegated clubs then pay the full whack and have him sitting around and not playing at Spurs?

I'm pretty happy. Gutted that Sandro is leaving but we've brought in some solid pieces especially at the back. If this is a five year plan then this is a great start as we are building a good foundation and will learn Poch's style throughout the year. Then we can add the spark once we have developed our base.

There are some concerning areas, I do think a wing forward and passing midfielder are needed at some point, and we need leadership... But we have signed 5 primarily defensive players which is the one area that people wanted to be fixed. I think its obvious that Poch is building from the back first. As I can only keep saying, a new manager means a season of transition whether you like it or not and its laying the first building blocks over 2-3 years. A solid, functional, cohesive team is what we need more than any new signing currently.

One good thing today, for me at least, was keeping Soldado.

Very happy with that as I believe he will come good.

I guess our only hope is the players from last season really kick on, the players we brought on continue to build into valuable roles within the squad and some of the lackluster performers (Townsend) somehow become useful players for us. It's a lot of wishful thinking, but at least we know that we do have a decent coach that should at least be able to turn a few of the busts into bargains.

I think barring a Levy last minute masterstroke we have a great squad and we have finally trimmed a lot of the fat. When our players turn up in the morning they know they're part of the squad and part of MP's plans - so let's just get on with it already!!
Really? If Lennon and Townsend are part of any plans, then we are in some serious trouble my friend.

Lol. Reading through the thread - "Fan" meltdowns are becoming more entertaining than the actual transfer deadline these days. :D

We needed to get a slightly younger GK back-up for Hugo, we did. We needed to improve LB options, we did. We needed to improve CB options due to Daws not being good enough and Kaboul's injury issues, we did. We needed better right back cover, we did. We needed someone to fit Poch's system in CM, hopefully we have. Overall I'd say it was a good window. Not all doom and gloom. Shipped some deadweight at last (Obika, Gomes, Fryers, Siggy etc.).

I'm happy with the window.

We kept Lloris, signed a LB and a CB. That's really all I wanted - Everything else has been gravy. Now it's just time to see Poch build up this squad.

Why some of you lot measure the fortunes of our season ahead by activity in a summer transfer window baffles me greatly.

We went mental last season spending somewhere in the region of 120mil, and then witnessed probably the worst 9 months of football I've seen for over 10 years.

Clamouring for MS and MM 12 months ago were we?? No, didn't think so.

All I know is we simply cannot be any worse than last season, and that keeps me feeling optimistic.

I'm delighted to have joined QPR FC and look forward to working with Harry Redknapp again.

I'd like to thank Tottenham Hotspur for everything they've done for me. Spurs has been my home since I moved to England and I loved every minute of my time there. To the fans; I'll always have a special relationship with you and can't begin to express how much your support has meant to me, particularly in tough times when I was injured.

I can't wait to get started at QPR now and look forward to wearing the famous hoops for the first time ‪#‎COYRS‬
