I'm a hero, mate.

I just have a bit of faith in the management; you don't, that's fine.

We bought 5 attackers last summer: Soldado, Paulinho, Eriksen, Lamela and Chadli - reckon we probably needed some better defensive options. Think we have them now. Think we should let these 5 have a crack at the PL too.

I trust Poch's judgment. It's more believable that Poch said "I want J-Rod and MS if you can please Daniel", otherwise (as both Trix and JJ said) he's happy with what he's got to work with. And that's all I care about rather than children throwing toys out of the pram - especially fully grown adult children.
I don't have faith in Levy no, not anymore. I like Poch, but I do feel sorry for him now.

We bought 5 attackers, of which I harbour hope for Lamela and Eriksen. A fully fit Soldado isn't fancied as a malaria riddled Adebayor is preferred to him. Chadli I don't rate. He's come to the PL and he seems to have no intention of even attempting to adapt to the faster pace. Someone told him Pirlo looks good playing at his own pace and he thinks that applies to wingers too.

I trust Poch's judgement too, hence why I'm concerned. We know that for the right price Lennon, Townsend, Soldado, Ade and Chadli could have gone. That's not particularly reassuring.

As for the toy throwing, yes there are some overly dramatic posts in here. However I can understand. Not everyone has the same superior patience as others obviously have and where passion and disappointment merge, you will see dramatic posts. If you're not used to it after all these years then I fear these windows will become seriously repetitive, with Spurs disappointing us, fans reacting badly and a select few posting the same kind of posts in reply. It's getting boring.

I'm happy to buy into the idea of a new manager building a squad of players who understand his ideas and suit his way of playing, and that potentially taking a few windows - I certainly don't advocate signing players for the sake of it - but it worries me we continue to amass bang average 'moneyball' signings, shipping five out, bringing five in of roughly equivalent quality each time.
Looking through our squad, there's some pretty mediocre players there - Vertonghen aside, I don't really rate one of our group of defenders - perhaps Fazio will come in and change my mind - and central midfield is an area desperately short on quality. Is Davies really a quality attacking left-back suited to Poch's system? If Walker's got injury problems, do we really want to see Dier out of position there being outpaced for half the season?
We've got a lot of players, and I can't say I'd really miss any of them, Lloris aside.
Let's hope Poch can do what he did at Southampton and get significant improvement out of a group of decent players, and get them playing as a team. I hope he's not been made promises by Levy and then delivered something totally different. COYS.

Couldn't agree more. We have a squad full of errr.......squad players! Wouldn't be pissed if any of them went to be honest. Tho slightly more for Hugo and dembelle. Dembelle due to his huge potential to be something special.

What saddens me the most is that players who care about the club like Holtby and Sandro have been shipped out while people who couldn't give a fuck like Chadli, Paulinho and Lennon remain.

Fuck off Levy you ****, You've ripped the heart and soul out of this club

Cheer up guys!

Would have been a bad strategy to do our core business on the last day anyway...

We've got a Very good cb (fazio) and a Very exciting dm (stambouli)... We've also adressed the lb situation and got a manager who knows his shit:)

I'm more interested in what he's like after his injuries. We already have one unrecognizable post injury CB, I'm hoping we don't have another seeing as Fazio is the only real signing that looks to be improving the last 11.

I feel there is a lot of straw clutching going in this thread as well as some overdramatic nonsense.

Whatever may you spin in though, it's been a poor window.

Don't get me wrong I'm disappointed we haven't strengthened in attacking areas. Not much we can do now though except get behind the likes of Fazio and Stambouli (and hope to god they turn out to be worldies lol)

So Poch didnt get his main man MS but he got a another player that will take 12 months to adjust, same old same old, will Levy ever learn.

Underwhelmed by this window, pretty sure last seasons signings have not improved significantly, ready for another desperate season of ups and downs with a dose of disappointment.

Nice one Daniel.
He's the worst.

Screw you Daniel. I hate you I hate you I hate you.

So never mind net spend. It was profit-taking today. A little early - as this usually happens in January. Good business for the Club. More money in the coffers. The start of a five year plan. Of course it made no sense to try and improve the first team - Spurs opponents are just beyond us. We have a first-rate coach who will transform our current group of players into world beaters.

Hull & QPR have stupid, spend-thrift owners.

Spurs is a well-run club where making a profit is the paramount objective. We should be proud of that.

I think Pochettino now knows what it means to be Levied. AVB knows what that means. The tradition continues.

But the Club is making money. And we should all be pleased with that.
I assume this is sarcasm...

No doubt Poch will be sacked if we haven't made CL this season or next, at least give him the tools to do the job by investing in the squad, but we know there is more chance of the pope converting to islam than Poch being backed

We are a Harrods club run by owners who have a 99p store mentality
Not to mention some the fans either.

There's no doubt in my mind that this has been a poor to average window.

We've lost goals from midfield with Holtby and Siggi and a huge amount of experience with Sandro.

I'm hoping our squad doesn't suffer burn out trying to adapt to poch's system.

A cup win is long overdue and I really want us to go full bore on in the Europa.

Siggy is very much not a Poch-type attacker, Holtby unfortunately almost never played, and Sandro despite his experience had a very poor fitness record with no guarantee of ever overcoming it.

I do feel we should have brought in another attacker, but those were not integral players we saw leave despite how much it may hurt on an emotional level.

Nah, really a fuck off should be reserved for the comment about Chadli. That is based on nothing.

I cannot endorse the selling of Sandro. I'm not so het up about things other people seem to be angry about, but I fully believe Sandro would've won Poch over and ended up being invaluable as this season progressed, as long as he found fitness.

It was worth the chance. Well worth the chance, to play it out and see.

Disgusted to see him in QPR colours on twitter.

Build from the back and in that respect, we've got a lot of ingredients for Poch to work with.

Forward areas, hopefully rectified in January but more likely next summer.
Agree to a certain extent, but will Poch be given time? If you don't significantly invest in a side that suffered heavily against direct opponents for CL, you cannot expect CL footy. I would love to say DL will give Poch time to build, but have to say, given history, I doubt he will.

I feel Levy didn't back Poch this window. There will be reasons, surely, but it is what it is.

On a positive note, after last summer transfer window, i had a feeling we could close the gap to CL, after Sunday and today, I feel that gap widened. Some 'intent' would've been great. Sadly.
