You've decided Spurs have let Poch down - yet that's not the info we have at all. That every player has their price is not a new concept for us. Whose being naive here? Whose expectations are loftier than their level?

I do despair of our fan base on a regular basis buddy, I just try and put a more reasoned spin on things in the hope that some listen.

Reckon I've been here quite a while to know enough about the different types of fans we get on here.
I have decided that yes. Poch identified one target as vital, MS, and we failed to get him for whatever reason. Sometimes to get the important targets, you pay over the odds - see Bale, Di Maria, Sanchez etc. Yes these clubs have greater spending power than us, but we had Townsend, a player Soton wanted to get the price down, plus we've made £11m profit this summer.

That every player has his price is different to the situation at Spurs this summer. The fact that every player has his price applies more to situations like Bale and Modric, where you have a prized asset that you don't want to lose, but at the right price you let them go. This summer, we were willing to listen to offers for all the names I mentioned above, meaning that Poch would have let them go willingly. This in essence means that he doesn't feel they are important players to what he wants to achieve. I hope you can see this vital difference between the two situations.

Not really disappointed because this was what I was expecting. Just making up the numbers and turning a profit. At least we've stripped the club of any last remaining character in the process.

Pochettino will have his work cut out for him if he wants to achieve anything with us. Strangely, it's making me look forward to the rest of the season more, as there's no chance of getting my hopes up.

There's no doubt in my mind that this has been a poor to average window.

We've lost goals from midfield with Holtby and Siggi and a huge amount of experience with Sandro.

I'm hoping our squad doesn't suffer burn out trying to adapt to poch's system.

A cup win is long overdue and I really want us to go full bore on in the Europa.

I don't think it's realistic to expect us to win Europa with the attacking players we'd have to play. Townsend and Lennon are surefire starters as 2 of the attacking 4 in the group stage matches, as I'm certain Pochettino won't risk Lamela, Eriksen, or Chadli. Given how tough Besiktas and Partizan are at home, it's no certainty that we'll even qualify for the group stages if Poch insists on resting all of our starters. Holtby, Sandro, and Sigurdsson would've been really good options to have for several cup runs. It's a shame we sold all three of them, with only Stambouli brought in as a replacement.

Bah, shame we couldn't wrap up the deals for MS an Rodriguez in those last 5 minutes. Just ran out of time! Nice try, Levy. See guys? He really does back his manager!

ABSOLUTELY i said this a few pages back. its all very good having a 5 year plan but we've had a 5 year plan for years and each manager has been sacked before that 5 year plan was seen out we are a top 7 side miles off of the top 4 again and the board must realise this and accept it if they cant then they need to get out of football. yes we have a new training facility and are finally going to build a stadium but until we build it we will tread water. will Levy finally accept we cannot compete with the cheaper option?...i don't think he will Poch will be fired as all before him have and a "new" 5 year plan will be put into motion.
I really hope im wrong but history predicts the same fate for Poch.
I wouldn't betting that Levy isn't concerned about us staying at this level until the Stadium is done and Enic either sell or then invest in going further.

I like the assumption people have that Poch is not happy. I don't think our manager is as narrow minded as some of our fans. I got the impression that he was really happy with the midfield and attack but wanted to focus mostly on the defence.

I expect he has big plans for transforming our attacking players and we got a small taste of what is to come at home to QPR. I have a great feeling about our young players improving under Poch just as we saw at Southampton. I also have high hopes for Lamela, Paulinho and Soldado. Three players we spent big money on and now have had a year to settle.

We leaked goals last season and completely folded against the top teams so signing 4 defenders, a keeper and a new defensive midfielder will go a long way to steady the ship.

I think the plans of Daniel Levy are clear. We spent big money last summer and neither manager was able to get them performing. We now have a manager who could potentially get the best out of them. Lets get behind the team we have now.

...but we ran out of time!

News isn't quite instantaneous, despite all modern technology. Still a chance we could hear something of a last minute buy over the next few minutes.

Most likely not of course, but still possible.

I'm not remotely down about our business but I love the idea of 'going big' with 90 seconds to go, it's brilliantly funny I hope it's true.
