People are funny, they slate Adebayor as if we have Diego Costa on the bench. Soldado isn't that great, he would have been eaten for breakfast by Mertersacker and Kochelny . When Soldado doesn't do anything the midfield get the blame but when Adebayor slacks it's all his fault..lol

The more I think about it the more pleased I am with the result.

The Emirates it a very difficult place to go. They've got a lot stronger over the past few seasons yet today despite all their possession restricted them to very few chances. They were playing in front of us for most of the time. Sure, they did create 2 good chances bar their goal - Ozil and Mertesacker - but we also created some very good chances of our own. If we had an Alexis Sanchez or Ozil or Cazorla as part of our attacking four we would've won easily.

The back four was superb especially Kaboul. Mason also had a fantastic debut given the weight on his shoulders. Unfortunately our front four didn't really click which was a shame.

All in all a really good and well deserved point.

It's probably the hardest place for us to go. They're morons and it's their cup final. They've really been up for it over the past few seasons and few teams can use their physicality to their advantage like they do - a terrible combination for our nascent, faltering team.

The way the arsenal players were throwing themselves about could really have caused us to collapse - that we didn't was great. There's a lot to build on.

He hasn't gotten much of a mention, but Vertonghen was absolutely immense today. He cleared numerous dangerous balls, and coped with Welbeck very well. Anyone who has any illusions that he is easily replaceable and that we should consider selling him if he doesn't sign a new contract needs to just watch this performance again.

I think younis just edged MOM but I agree with you and I think Vertonghen pushed him all the way for the honour.... great partnership today.

We do! They're a lot better than we are at the moment and the only way to beat teams that are better than you is to defend and frustrate them. Two flat banks of four to stop them getting too many chances. If Chelsea can do that to win a champions league then we shouldn't think of ourselves being above it to win the odd game when we're the underdog.

Unfortunately though, it's not in our nature and I doubt our players could even do it if they tried. We'll try and play them at football and will get beat comfortably, because at this moment in time, they're better than us.

Anyway, it's all about the Ryder Cup for me this weekend so anything other than a hammering will be good enough for me.

Fucking hell, I don't think I've felt this way about Spurs for over 10 years.

Check out this negative dickhead here.

Did not see it coming but we absolutely stoked them. Had good chances to win it as well. Had a few doubts about Poch (mainly due to what I saw as a lack of a plan B) but he's put a lot of them to bed after this.

Hard to understand Lennon for Eriksen when we were one up?
Logic was that Lennon covers a lot of ground defensively and works hard. I guess the logic was also that his pace could help defend against Arsenal's pace. I think from now on you will see Lennon used as fundamentally a defensive change with Townsend most likely preferred if we need to chase a game.

Phew like most of you couldn't see anything today so a point was always going to be a bonus one to even score made it more special. Watching Sky is like having more gooners playing against you terrible bias even the traitor turned up as a pundit! Throughout which makes it even more sweeter to get something. On the game as soon as scored expected an onslaught from them makes you wish we could have scored in the final few mins. Can't understand why Kane wasn't on the bench Adebayor was as frustrating as usual when he wants he has all the talent in the world but without hard work never fulfils it. He gets in the team stays there but then doesn't do anything to justify his stay the only time he excelled was when he was recalled but then after that he just drifts like his hair by the looks of him tonight. Overall though we stood tall tonight particularly the defence - superb and proud of the team think it would have been a long hard season if we'd lost so can only be encouraging going into our next match COYS! BTW: special mention to the fans their tonight how great you were and loved the baiting towards the nomads when took the lead superb!

I could understand wanting to bring Lennon on. We were so deep and had very little pace on the counter. Unfortunately, Lennon actually did sod all when he came on.

not his fault he was stuck on the left. He would be far more useful as a RW and lamela would be far better centrally behind the main striker.

He'd be far more use sitting at home watching it on the tele. That way it would free up a space on the bench for someone far more useful.

A point gained, but even greater is the belief that should be gained from the performance. Will hopefully stand us in good stead at Ethiad in a couple of weeks.

Soldado had no service what so ever last year. This year, he's linked up well with our AM 3 when he played with them in pre season. Then he gets dropped immediately when Ade came back. Ade has been utterly useless this year and does not link up well with the AM 3. Today, he probably cost us 3 points because he cant fucking link up with the AM's. Not only that though, all season so far he looks like he doesnt give a shit. Hell, last year against United, we saw Soldado link up well with AARON LENNON! Think about that for a sec.

We showed a lot of character today - I'm delighted to say the fight and desire not to lose in a team I'd lost faith still had that in them after the WBA game

We were second best - but we were competitive and the best thing I can about the day is having gone in to the match expecting a comfortable loss or even a beating I actually end feeling somewhat frustrated not to have won (because their goal game from a sloppy error and a series of bad luck)

It's something to build upon and it's a game that showed where Poch's work is starting to take shape

We clearly need 2 or 3 players in key areas to make this team complete or even more competitive but today was a strong solid performance and they did us proud and should be happy with the way they fought for their draw and could even have taken the points

Big improvement from the team but I think a massive aspect of this was Verts and Kaboul being paired together nad Chiriches being out (plus Fazio still finding his feet) it made us much more settled and solid

Capoue and Ade were the only players who disappointed me today really - also I was very impressed with the youngsters in Mason on his debut and Dier and Bentaleb when they came on

Lloris was spectacular in goal, Lamela tried hard and played well aside from his error, Eriksen had a solid if unspectacular goal and was integral to the goal, the back two were solid and impressive and Chadli had a good game and got his goal

I'm more than happy with the point though I must admit I dared to dream of victory when we went 1 up and now I'm dissapointed

What people are saying (quite rightly IMHO) is that Ade is not on his game, he had a golden opportunity a 0 0.
Lamela played him in and he fluffed it.
He did nothing all game, no work rate, no pressing.
Maybe Soldado would have done the same, but he deserves a run at it, he's scored 2 in 2 this season.
He's not some shite striker, his record is very good.
And quite frankly right now he can't be any worse than Ade.

A point really well won. Under pressure a lot of the second half but scored a good goal after some good pressing.

Defence was immense today and worked really hard as a unit.

Had more chances on the counter that might have won us the game (undeservedly IMHO)

Well done team and manager today.

Should help our confidence a lot from here on.
