Hard fought point and a good result. Soft goal to concede, but that's what happens when you're on the back foot for so long. In the main I thought we defended excellently.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for us going forward. We are just so crap in the final third. Doesn't help when your trying to counter with so little pace in the side and the times we did get in a good position with players over, our decision making and final ball was so poor.

Ade is a passenger at the moment, but due to the pathetic decision not to add to our attack in the transfer window, he's still the best number 9 we have (although if he carries on performing this way, Soldado should at least get a start).

On a positive note, I thought Mason was very impressive.
Mason was good. Really pleased with the performance all round although I think lennon could have been brought on on the right to cover naughton when they were overlapping. We did well today. Well done spurs, good effort. Dembele or stambo on for Capoue imo but bentaleb did ok.

Dembele should have been on the bench, maybe injured?

The Arsenal forums are great entertainment at the moment. I'm thoroughly pleased we have ruined the weekend for so many of their fans. They're truly depressed by it all. :ROFLMAO:

Oh.... and they're away to Chelsea next week.

It's been a far better day than I expected and I'm gonna enjoy. Up yours Wenger!

Kaboul MOM, best defensive performance for a long time.

Mason was great for an hour.

Getting fed up of Ade already, would rather Soldado/Kane.
Honestly I'd rather have both. Kane could play as the cam instead of Eriksen imo with soldado in front.

Naughton did well on the left too helped by Lennon.
Dier came on and was good too. A lot of plusses and stuff for the future-but we could have won and IMO should have if MoPo was braver.

You know what your right at one nil i thought We would hold out but that result will do for now.

Claiming that Arsenal were there for the taking today is just plain madness. We were there for the taking but managed to hang on for most of the game through good defending. On another day Arsenal would have had 2-3 more goals today.
Arsenal were definitely there for the taking today. Average show by them...hope it continues.

Great defensive display today, away from home we look a solid side, but when the onus is on us to create and score we look poor. Hoping this will come... Our home form worries me and a good Southampton side to come next week

Just got back from watching the game at a Mexican restaurant over a plate of huevos rancheros (mmm!) so apologies if you've covered this, but what do you make of the complete absence of pressing? Has Poch decided he doesn't have the squad to press or has he gone to a Mourinho-like tactical pragmatism that he'll use from game to game?

Good to see Kaptain Kaboom in good form for this one.

Well done everyone! Manager, players and majority of supporters alike. We didn't expect a lot but got a justified performance and a well deserved point. Admitted we hardly looked like world beaters but did what was required. Work in progress. Onwards and upwards. COYS.

A very good team performance with a very promising league debut from Mason and an absolutely fantastic performance from Kaboul. Delighted to see more of our young players getting a chance and doing really well, bodes well for the future.

Adebayor needs to be DROPPED. PERIOD. If not for the team's good... for his OWN good! Let's get him fired up and send a message that mediocrity does not get rewarded with automatic selection through favoritism. While they're at it... Eriksen needs to get his head back in the game too, otherwise he can join Ade for a while. I like Ade and Eriksen both, which is why they need to start fighting to earn the right to be starters.

That's 6 assists already for Lamela this season. He and Chadli seemingly have a hand in virtually every goal we score in all competitions. If we gave them a devastating striker to play off them, we'd really be in a good shape.
We'll get there. Lamela must play #10 though from now on imo.

I agree-they were playing unfit players today because their fit players are not good enough. AW realised the importance of the result today but will pay for it in the next games.
A draw was what I predicted but really we could have done better. If we had held on against Sunderland .....

In the short term he did not play well today and should be dropped. But in the long term he will be our most important player and MoPo realises that. If his lob against Liverpool goes in.....

I've spent the last hour thinking we won as I was unable to see the 2nd half and my phone didn't update the score properly

To say I am deflated is an understatement
