When he plays we play with more tempo and fluidity. He's the reason.
Hope you've recovered from yesterday's disagreements with the couple of the members on the match forum.
I agree with you, there's so many people on here that don't want to be positive about anything that involves Tottenham.
It's a shame really but the negative people seem to be growing on this site and it's getting less entertaining.
Regarding Mason, he's been a godsend for Pochettino, a player who can dictate tempo and pass the ball forward which reflects Pochettino's philosophy.
I think he'll grow into the role and with confidence he'll add a sense of attacking venture into his game.
Do you honestly find the growing negativity surprising, considering it goes exactly in line with our "decline" from champions league quarter final to maybe not getting out of our easy looking Europa league group?
There's a lot of people on here who who don't respect someone else opinions only because it's different to theirs.
It gets a bit more heated than it really should.
We're all in it for the same reason, our love of THFC, some people seem to forget that.
Looks like we found a "Schneiderlin" without spending upwards of £20M.A very intelligent and mature performance more so given it was only his second PL start. Nice blend of tackling, interceptions and harrying combined with good work rate, intelligent movement off the ball and some decent passing that helped maintain our attacking momentum
Early days but he looks the best fit to partner and compliment Capoue in central midfield. Hopefully this can develop into a great pairing
EVERY decent team needs a player like Mason in centre midfield - someone who is nippy, good on the ball, can a drop a shoulder and make space, and can pick an intelligent pass. Modric was that player, and, you're right, we haven't had anyone like that since.Hard to believe, but his been our best CM since Modric. I hope he keeps it up.
I'm not sure it helps to be calling him the new Gerrard or the new Modric...
I said in the match day thread how he played really well. Kept looking to keep the ball moving in a forward direction and covered a lot of ground. The article however is pants, the journalist states that "He did not create any chances or attempt a shot at goal" i could swear blind that it was his little touch back to Eriksen for the goal which in my book counts as an assist!
Oh bugger lol.Yeah it was Chadli
Saw that. Very Modric / Carrick / Gascoigne-esque.I was sitting in south upper for the game just behind the goal and there was one lovely pass he made in the second half to Eriksen I think it was. Ryan was centre of the goal and about 25 yards out, he was looked dead centre of the goal as if going to pass to Ade or someone else in the box, instead he hooked his right foot round the ball and lofted it out left to Eriksen who was waiting for it on the wing and in a shit load of space whilst still looking down the middle of the goal, completely bamboozling everyone. Loved it.
It's only surprising if you don't share the sense of entitlement that you unfortunately have.Do you honestly find the growing negativity surprising, considering it goes exactly in line with our "decline" from champions league quarter final to maybe not getting out of our easy looking Europa league group?
