Why isn't the match on Sky Sports football first match choice? Is it because of BT? Bastards.

Anyone got an idea where I can get full match highlights as MOTD was poor.

What was really impressive is that 5 of our starting 11 came from the academy! The average age of that team must be around 24. So much hope for the future. Spurs must now be the number 1 choice for young talent wanting to crack the PL in this country! Coys!!

The rules are if they saw it-like the Sterling slap-nothing can be done.
Those are the rules, but the referee and his assistants still have to justify themselves to the match assessor. If they saw it as an accidental contact, as in the Sterling case, no further action can be taken.
In the case of Cahill kicking Kane yesterday, the officials would have to claim that they hadn't seen it, because the TV evidence clearly shows that Cahill had no chance of getting to the ball when he put his boot into Kane's back. There is no way that they could have interpreted it in any other way.
If they admitted that they'd seen it and had decided to ignore it, that would be the last time we see them officiating in the PL for quite a while.

Rose was definitely a Leeds product really.

BBC have already changed their weak 'Spurs beat Chelsea in thriller' headline on their football homepage to '"Penalty would have been crucial" - Mourinho'. Amazing...
It's actually got more to do with news management and the predicatble laziness of journalists. Maureen took control of the agenda after the match by giving some juicy quotes, and the journos have lapped it up. In doing so, he's taken all the pressure off Cahill and the rest of his underperforming team, who were shown to be more fallible than we'd been led to believe. Within days, the received wisdom will be that Chelsea only lost because of weak refereeing...

and that's also why he played rose imo. to give us more attacking impetus. I wanted dembele to start and im glad he was forced to come on early (though im not happy at mason being injured) we kept matic/willian and then later salah uber quiet and that was down to dembele and bentaleb being so physical. something i think mason is willing to do but doesnt have the build for

Demeble has played well last two games but for me there is so much more to come he has much strength and talent.

Also great for spurs 5 accademy players started.

Think we got him at 16/17 as an attacking midfielder before he signed a pro contract at Leeds and before a pro debut. Not like walker who had played a fair bit for Sheffield utd when we signed him at 18. But I take your point.

MOTD was shocking. About 16 shots on target, between the two teams, and they showed absolutely nothing of the game other than the goals and - of course - Chelscum's penalty claim. Sat down to watch it, indeed taped it for my boy to watch today, and - tbh - don't know if I will bother; it lasted about 8mins or so. You can bet if it was Arsenal 5 - 3 Chelscum, it would've taken up half the bloody programme.

You did not. Watched the game with him, his missus & my bro. Was quite the bizarre experience watching such a game with an almost current legend! Had some good banter, he's a seriously nice bloke

How did it all come about?

I'm assuming he was cheering for us? ;)

Lets just get it out of the way; we put 5 superb goals past Chelsea's "indomitable" defence. We cut through Chelsea's "indomitable" midfield like a knife through butter. And they were such good goals, results of the sort of fast flowing, one touch attacking that we saw from Henry's Arsenal back in their early '00s pomp. Chadli, Eriksen and Kane are unifying into a lethal, almost telepathic attacking trio. Mention for Andros too, his graft in the last two games being more than worthy of his penalty today. He was asked to keep Young and then Aziplectua(sic) busy and he's done that and more. We know his limits as a footballer, but by god he'll give it the bollocks whenever he plays.

However, let's not forget we pulled the usual Spurs trick of thinking the game was won far too soon. That complacency led to the Chelsea goals, and despite walloping the ****s we still shipped 3 goals at home. Two from silly mistakes in my view. Naturally Fazio dithered far too long on the ball, the scoreline reducing his urgency, but he was put under pressure by a unnecessary Dembele back pass. The Afro'ed one frustrates me because he can't simply put a forward pass through when its on, he has to beat another man and come back. That part of his game meant the difference between another attack down the left from us, and them getting back into the game. Schoolboy level stuff and needs to be stopped. Second goal was just the defence going to sleep... although I'll grudgingly admit that Hazard was one of the best players on the pitch.

But put that aside for now, and let MP sort those problems out with them on the training ground. For now we can simply bask in a successful Christmas period, having matched and then destroyed Man Utd and Chelsea respectively. Now for a Cup Semi Final triumph, and then bring on the Gooners for a good fucking hiding in Feb.

COYS!

I must admit, I thought we lost something by selling Dawson, huddlestone, Defoe, Parker, and losing King, the English core of the old team. When we brought in the international 7 for the Bale money. But having a new young core of young players coming through together could be something special. You get the work rate and team work. Now if they could just emulate the Man Utd 5 of the 90s we may just win something with these 'kids'!!

They are limited to how many minutes they can show per match by their contract. So basically 8 goals took up most of the allowed time.
