hookah is illegal?

When I played in college, if anyone was caught smoking they got bent over by the coach, and then followed up by the rest of the team after we were forced to run full field and hill sprints until we all barfed out tobacco leaves. Not illegal, but I'm sure every professional team has a no smoking policy.

We played 9 games in January, but still have a fully fit squad.

Massive creds to Pochettino and his staff for this - No idea how they're doing it but it seems to be working..

Well we havn't struggled against the better sides at WHL.

He's clearly a Gooner twat.

Agreed. Massive distinction he failed to recognize. It is only the smaller sides who have sat back which we have struggled against, and Liverpool was right at the beginning of the season when we had no rhythm whatsoever in our new regime and they had everyone healthy.

I'm looking forward to us playing ARSEnal, and no longer have fears of capitulation against our rivals. That was down to weak mentality. We no longer have that. Players like Walker (now one of our longest serving), with Rose, Bentaleb (particularly), Mason, Kane; who have grown into footballers within the club - know just how much these North London derbys mean. You can just feel it in your bones that this group of players are just not going to give up on Saturday. They're gutsy, motivated, and will be well up for it. They're also riding on a wave of realising their own talents and successes on such a big scale (the Premiership). There's a real fire about this lot - it's the first time I've felt confident about a NLD in years. They'll be aware of the positives surrounding our club at the moment. Wenger's Arsenal can't help being inherently arrogant though. They won't have played such a mentally resilient Spurs side in years. That's going to surprise them. Feeling more confident than I have done in years.

Bring it on.

Chelsea line up was

Lloris
Walker, Fazio, Verts, Rose
Bentaleb, Mason
Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli
Kane

Surely you stick as close to that as poss. Chadli scores goals. So does Eriksen. They stay where they were.
Townsends pace caused Chelsea problems and it'll cause Arse problems as well.
Bentaleb obviously needs replacing. Id go with Stambouli on this one as although he aint the quickest I think he's better in that position than Dembele.
Id also think about Dier instead of Fazio. He's faster and Arsenal wont be banging to many high balls in.

Lloris
Walker, Dier, Verts, Rose
Stam, Mason
Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli
Kane

I'd be so much more confident if this was the late KO rather than the lunchtime one. Really does make a difference at the Lane when the lights are on and the fans are a little merry. Against Chelsea it really inspired the players and intimidated the opposition. Sucks that we very rarely get late games against the Scum because of the police.

While I don't typically agree with the logic of "we played well in x game, so should therefore use that same lineup" as I think lineups should somewhat be tailored to who you're playing against, I agree with some of the logic you're suggesting here. I think people get too carried away with form and don't take enough account of the opposition.

In particular, I think people are getting carried away with Dembele's performances against a League One side and a really crappy West Brom performance. Even then, our only goal from open play which he assisted was far more due to individual brilliance from Kane rather than a particularly clever or incisive pass from Dembele. That Dembele was subbed off early in both matches rather says it all about true effect of the system, and I think with Chadli back up to fitness he has to come back into the side. No player of ours is better at capitalizing on afforded space than Chadli, and a very forward-thinking and aggressive Arsenal is just the kind of game he thrives in.

I also cannot emphasize enough from the Man U and Chelsea matches how important it is Eriksen remain central in matches like this. His ability to use the No 10 spot to disrupt the opposition's passing from deep central to force the ball to the opposition's flanks is so vital to maintaining the press. In fact, it was Eriksen's pressure which led to our last goal against Arsenal, and Chadli capitalizing upon being played into space. Dembele is not quick enough to do this against Arsenal's speedy and more diminutive midfielders, and his physicality further forward would not be as important since we're less likely to establish an effective press with him less likely to engage those speedy midfielders.
