Because we can't defend.

All the teams above us are in to double figures for goal difference we are plus six, thats Our problem and one of the reasons why we wont get top four.
Until this gets sorted properly top four is a no no.

We're just no good at closing out games. We could learn a lot from how Chelsea beat us in the cup final. Niggly fouls, time wasting, not letting the opponent settle. We're still too honest as a team, but that was a great watch. Undoubtedly more entertaining than any other game tonight.
A lot of that can be put down to the yoof. But Verts needs to be better at marshalling the defence.

There's definitely a case for saying Dier is our most reliable defender now. Considering he's 21, in his first season of Premier league football, that says a lot..

Potch needs to learn to rotate! I'm sure that ending wasn't helpped by some tired legs! Could easily have brought in 3/4 players who didn't play on Sunday to freshen the team up. Eriksen is one who needs a rest form had dropped in past few weeks and I'm sure a lot of that is down to the amount of games he has played in past two/three months same with Verts,

That obviously isn't ready.

He needs to acclimatise and he's joined having literally just finished an entire MLS season. The lad needs to recharge and we'll hopefully see a couple of brief appearances towards the end of the season.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Utd have more 'big' games than us before the end of the season. Win our game in hand and I couldnt separate us for the final sprint.

Its gonna get scary

Not one we ever intend to play, IMO. Yedlin is more or less the American version of Bongani Khumalo, as I see it.

Clubs like Roma had no interest in the crock of sh*t Khumalo, whereas they wanted Yedlin.

Our back up is poor. We have a big squad but it's low on quality.

Not sure we'll see much of him tbh mate. Not at least to push Walker for a starting place.

Maybe, but until he makes a matchday squad I still think that he ticks far more boxes commercially than he does on the pitch for us.
