But if he wants to be playing every week then perhaps he shouldn't have turned down loan moves to Stoke, QPR and Palace when he must have known that any playing time he got at Spurs would be absolutely minimal.

At that time, he could choose from 4 clubs. He chose West Ham, it got cancelled at the last minute.

Do you know that he hasn't?

Yes. Going awol after the Africa Cup of Nations, having to go back to Africa this year for personal reasons, arguing with Kane and others. It's not like it hasn't been reported the last few years.

If he was so desperate he wouldnt have made such a late move and if got cancelled would've possibly looked to go to one of the other three and would've reduced his wages in order to do so.

Exactly. There's clearly no love lost between Levy and the Dildo Brothers so a loan deal with us paying his wages (as West Ham didn't want to contribute a penny) was never going to happen. Stoke and Palace are decent clubs at the sort of level Adebayor should expect to attract interest from in the PL.

Lol "going AWOL"... he was already "AWL", the Togolese FA didn't send a plane for them to go back until 4 days after they got knocked out of the ACON - that plane was then headed for a meeting with the president. If you call fulfilling national duties "AWOL" then that really is an extreme....

He went back to Africa for a week due to an obvious mental issue. If it was for surgery on a part of his body, people wouldn't flinch. Having a negative attitude towards a mental illness, whether circumstantial or chronic, is bang out of order in this day and age. It was hardly like he was getting picked anyway, was it?

As for the "arguing with Kane", there's more than enough reliable sources who have dismissed that these things ever happened. Regardless, disagreeing with a player is nothing to do with how much he "runs" in training.

As unpopular as he is, he's actually done an awful lot for the club since he started playing for us - especially considering the things that used to be sung about him by our 'fans' - and the things he's been through aren't compensated by any amount of money.

ITK stated Ade, Capoue and Kaboul were rebelling, just by coincidence all 3 and Lennon were the only players SSN reported to have offers on the table on the last day of the January window, all 3 just by coincidence have hardly featured since, just by coincidence all 3 didn't make the squad training trip before the Final.
No injuries reported, just coincidence.

So you're saying the media reporting 3 players falling out of favour, then the media then reporting the same 3 players having offers in the transfer window is a coincidence?

I'd say it's a coincidence that they were "reported" to have been involved, yet none of them have left - even during the transfer window.

Adebayor has played and been in the squad, it's just obvious he's no use to Pochettino as he's not a decent tackler. Wrong fit for the team. Simple as that. As per Soldado, people seem to want to make themselves feel better about their criticisms by biasing the slightest whisper or shred of evidence against the player, or exaggerating the most normal of circumstances.

I said ITK not media, don't start twisting my post, quote it correctly.
Media didn't report a falling out.

You post about Ade as though he has had some saintly trouble free career.
He causes trouble wherever he goes, way too much evidence backing it up.

ITK stated that Adebayor, Kaboul, Lennon (and it was believed by some to be Capoue as well) kicked up a stink after the Stoke game. Pochettino saw through this.

Adebayor had been involved in every league game bar Man City (I think he missed that one having been on international duty in the week before). He disappeared from the squad and has since made two sub appearances in 19 games. Kaboul had played every minute of our league campaign up to that point. Zero minutes since. Capoue started every league game up to and including Stoke. He's had 22 minutes as a sub against Palace since then.

Pretty massive 'coincidence'. Nothing to do with the media.

I think it's time for me to leave Tottenham and to look for a new destination. It will not be in the English Premier League for sure. I've received many good offers to play here but I would like to have a new experience in another country.

This quote seems to be doing the rounds, but its probably a load of bollox.

That quote above seems to not be accurate..at all.
This looks like a struggle to offload him this summer if this is what he says at the moment..

Fight for his place?

He doesn't even get picked for the match day squads most week

This thread is going to drain the optimistic ratings out of the rest of the site like some kind of Adebayor flux capacitor.

Fight for his place? Like he couldn't be arsed to do for most of the time he's been here? Yeah, pull the other one, Ade.

It seems that managers like AvB and Poch have a problem dealing with experienced pros, So what if they speak their mind be a man and put it behind you.

At my work where I have to direct over 30 grown men about their workm we have the odd disagreement. However I always remain professional and get on with the job, I don't hold any grudge towards people who may have challenged me.

Its pathetic that these supposed managers who are paid handsomely to produce a functioning team out of players of all kinds of personalities, backgrounds and demeanours end up falling out with significant portions of a squad.

I mean AvB fell out with Ade over a fucking hat, a power play that went wrong, this man is a millionaire, seen team mates shot dead and a hero in his country, who the fuck is AvB in the scheme of this?

The most commonly accepted reason for Adebayor's exclusion from the first team last season (via ITK) was that Adebayor went to AVB with a suggestion on how he thought the team should be playing. As Bale and a few other players had stated publicly, AVB had an 'open door' policy on players speaking to him. AVB decided he didn't want to implement Adebayor's tactical suggestion, as he was entitled to as Head Coach. Adebayor couldn't accept this, so made the suggestion again in a squad meeting, deliberately undermining AVB's authority as Head Coach.

Whether there is any truth in the hat story or not, it would be pretty pathetic behaviour of Adebayor (or any other player) to refuse to remove it when asked to do so by their manager.

And in the scheme of this, AVB is a manager who has won more trophies as a manager in a single season than Adebayor has in his entire 14 year professional playing career (and looks likely to add to that total this season.)
