This is an example of a team/country struggling for an identity and trying to go with what is fashion - a Barca/possession type of game - and to prove to the world we do produce technical players. However from a tactical point of view there is such a lack of understanding of basic fundamentals such as movement, playing as a unit and moving up and down the pitch as one, how you attack and where to create mis-matches and overloads, and how to play in little sub-units and how one individual reacts to what a team mate does and so the man on the ball should know where his out ball is.

I think he's a major prospect but the other 3 of the back 4 are average. Kane,Stones and Redmond are the only ones I'd say are decent.

With Pritchard injured, seems abit silly playing all our main attacking threats from the start. It's like his plan was to go a few goals up, and if that didn't work, well there wasn't really a back up plan.
Having said that, if Ings had scored it might have been a different game. Probably not as that Def/CM is pretty woeful!

England team has collectively played the least amount of first team football of all the teams in this tournament apparently, I think that is a larger part of the problem.
The loan system needs a proper overhaul and some sort of regulation when a club signs a young player from a lower league club.
