just read levys interview on signings. happy for him to be spinning out stories of current inactivity,
but much more likely we will indeed not deal until the last two weeks or even later in the window. by which time we may well have fallen that small margin behind, which ultimately makes all the difference come may. hes always been like this, before roman came, the arabs, etc.. he just hardly ever gets it done in good time.

im still on a high from yesterday but will never be able to fathom how such a shrewd mover cant appreciate the value of a good preseason. how many managers and coaches have told him? they cant all be wrong.

Who could we attract though that's real competition to Kane and happy to sit on bench? I guess a WF who can play through the middle but i think we need both - Replace Ade, Lennon and Townsend with a CF and WF.

I've always liked Benteke but again he won't want to be second fiddle and I prefer Kane through the middle.
Personally I want Berahino. Can play off the left, with kane, or on his own. Is young and English. I know he thinks hes some Gangstas paradise but hes just made a few dumb choices and needs some guidance. Im pretty sure hes not poison to a squad like Kaboul or Adebayor. Id like him

I hope the Goat can be persuaded to rebleat his debleated bleat, since I missed the original. Goes to show one should never get away from the computer during the TW...

I wouldn't be opposed to Austin - he can do a job for us up front

OK The Goat's bleat has been restored. Apologies for any confusion, it was my fault, I jumped the gun a bit but its good to go now.

I believe we are around £200 away from hitting the 'cabbagegate' target. It won't be the reveal and there won't be direct clues, but there will be a couple of things regarding it that i'll let out that you may or may not find interesting.

So if you haven't donated……….why not!

Wouldn't be happy with signing Austin

Knows where the back of the net is but it would be like signing Darren Bent all over again, whole system would have to be redone to play to Austin's strengths, chances of him working well with Kane are zero

By the way, what was the sting in the tail?

The stadium having a "cop end" which was the same as the original plans but bigger so not sure why the cryptic other than to whip up a frenzy of Jonjo posts.

Wouldn't mind Austin, although I hope it to be the case there is no guarantee Kane can repeat last season so to have options and a player that can hold the ball up front and scores goals makes sense. Don't know much about Austin other than what I watched last year so not sure why the hate?

Going on the ITK that talked about overseas players and post talking about looking at EPL experience that JJ winner'd and a story in the Standard I'm guessing one of the people we're talking to is Cabaye. (@Mr Pink )

I was thinking that too. And also the fact that we're not getting to get him now, and JJs despondency. Plus having Cabaye as Cabbage (cab) is just the kind of lame-arsed cryptic A&C would come up with!

Don't believe for a minute Austin would be Pochettino's choice. His overall game is too limited. And he's not really a mobile pressing option - the one sparking things from the front either.

Nor do I think Austin would come to sit on the bench where he could hold out for a Club like Newcastle, and play week in week out.
