This is what the window's been missing. An epic, written by a non-regular ITK, with some hilarious tidbits and a dubious source.

I'm giving it an 8/10 on the ITK scale. Ticks a lot of the boxes, including being relatively easy to read and follow. However, no cryptic keeps it from being a 10/10...

Why did you quote me then?
I was asked to reference players worth 15m who were similar standard to MS and I said
schweinsteiger and you say "he's not worth 30m"
Calm down calm down don't get your knickers all twisted. I posted my opinion of his worth in a thread discussing it which involves him. Your post discussed MS and values of players, I was merely saying he isn't worth 30m. Don't get all defensive.

Great post on COYS quoting GG

From 'AberYid' via GG:

"I don't especially want to reveal names but I'm fairly decent mates with a footballer in a Premier League squad.

That player had some friends around his pad last night, and I was one of them. There were 7 other well known footballers there, one of whom plays for Spurs.

We all talked and a lot of interesting things were said, but obviously I was interested in what the Spurs player knew.

So, here are some tidbits.

Lloris, Kane and Vertonghen will be our captains next season.
Nabil Bentaleb is unreal in training and is now better paid than Kane, Vertonghen, and a few other big names.
DeAndre Yedlin is actually quite good in training, but it took him 3 months or so to get used to the pace as apparently Sounders training was tinkle poor by comparison.
Stambouli wasn't actually part of a clique causing trouble. He hung out with them because he's French and Hugo is a bit insular.
Jesus Perez and Poch are a hilarious double act, and D'Agostino is a bit of a tough bounder with the players.
No-one at the club likes Kaboul, but they all respectED him hence electing him captain last season.
Everyone knows the club want Schneiderlin. This is why Dembele wants reassurances.
Soldado is an absolute beast in training and never misses. The club are desperate for him to succeed - and noone can figure out what's wrong.
Jan Vertonghen is the most popular player in the squad - the Alderweireld deal was in part to improve the club and in part to keep Vertonghen happy (he's not been happy with his CB partners)

And one of the players there is a Soton player, who said that Schneiderlin doesn't want to move to United: because he wants to play 38 games in a season, not be one of 6 or 7 top class midfielders.
He misses Pochettino and his training methods, and he wants to move to London.
The Soton player told me that Schneiderlin will be a Spurs player."
Now this. This is the single greatest piece of ITK i have read in quite a while so I will choose to believe every single bit of it. Thanks.

I'm not getting defensive or angry didn't mean to come across that way but your post didn't make sense to me

So, it's either
cough up £30m for Schneiderlin (in whatever staggered payment scheme Levy can get S'ton to accept)
Pay probably over the odds, but nowhere near £30m for McCarthy
Or cough up a reasonably £8m ish for Suarez, who is older than the above two and has no PL experience.
Unless we can convince PSG to do a U-Turn on Rabiot??

Interesting that the the Coys/gg itk makes a point of saying respectED, when talking about Kaboul. Past tense.
Guess that means that he's as good as gone, or at least it is seen as so.
I'd be interested to find out what's completely opposite to Trix's info, although completely understand why we may not.
I do love a bit of "itk from the mouth of a player" though!

Love that kinda itk - willy waving young players spouting off who knows this and that. All the same I appreciate the share. Like yankspurs I'm choosing to believe it all!!

i'm a lazy bastard, so can't be arsed reading back, but the latest "unverified" ITK - was the player Mason? Or was it a youth-age player? I only say Mason as he wasn't mentioned at all by said player and seems a more likeable dude than Chadli or Lamela etc.

It's funny, call it unverified but that sort of info, exactly as broken down by Trix, if you can pick out opinion from fact, is probably more accurate and up to date than virtually any other source.

Maybe Soldado gets scared by large crowds and spectators.

Why don't we just play our home matches at Hotspur way, problem solved.

Trix did explain some If his opposite pieces of info (yedlin). Other pieces he is referring to can be guessed at. Lastly, some stories simply come with two versions depending on whom's agenda is being served. I was once told the opposite of Soldado in training, but chose not to give it much weight because the initial source deffo had an agenda to serve. Sure would like this latest Soldado info to be true.

Course he looks a beast and the bees knees. He's playing against Vlad, YK and the rest in training. :D
