Its funny, before his move to Utd most posters on this board would have loved to sign Fellaini. I feel he got scape goated somewhat for the moyes era but actually proved really useful at the back end of last season. Didn't he destroy us BTW?

Not that I'd like to sign him but just thought I'd point out a few posters who swing back and forth more times than a pendulum.

Not me, never been a fan of his

And if we got them I'd be as ecstatic as everyone else. I don't think squad depth has ever been our issue, it's the quality that's required. An ideal window would have been something like: Schneiderlin, Alderweireld and Martial. The problem is that the season is drawing ever closer and once again the 2-3 additions we need don't appear to be anywhere near to being sorted. I'm not panicking yet, but it's a little concerning.

If we had £55m we might well have got them if Utd didn't fancy Schneiderlin. But we don't and we didn't. So we do the best we can.

Imagine how Leicester fans feel.

How many players did we play out of position at right back last season? How much of a break did Verts get because no-one could play lcb last season? How many goals did we let in so got a new first choice cb? How many players fell out with Poch and got blacklisted meaning we had a limited squad? Where are they now?
Pritchard and Alli are two of the most exciting prospects in the country. We are looking for a new dm and a new forward possibly a new lw.
We had the youngest squad in premier league history last season. We have kept the best and they are all a year older.

We will be far stronger this season than last. We can only do what our budget and circumstance allows. Which so far has been good.

And when you consider Bentaleb, Mason and particularly Kane didn't all start playing until well into the Autumn, we'll be starting this season off at a huge advantage compared to last. He's also removing the divisive elements from the team so squad harmony is likely to be on the rise.

Many people forget that we still managed 64 points last season despite a huge chunk of it being a weeding out process and Pochettino getting a proper feel for the squad.

We've already tackled our defensive issues and have a DM, forward and perhaps another wider forward type to bring in.

I think we're in really good shape. And despite some new faces coming in, we've already got the benefit of TA and JV having played previously together so there really won't be too much surgery to the spine of the team.

Other teams, despite signing some quality, may find it takes time before things begin to click for them.

Not saying I want Fellaini but he's not as bad as some of you are making out. He could easily do a job in the middle with Bentaleb and provide some much needed physicality to our team. People seem to be knocking him because he's tall and looks like an idiot with his stupid hair style but imo he's technically very good and always difficult to play against.

Agree. But at £125k a week, it's never going to happen unless Utd pay a chunk of his wages. Which I can't see them doing for us.

We'll probably have brought in close to £50m by the end of the window! Anyway here's hoping we hear some good news about incomings soon.

Agree with most of this though I do not think it should be beyond our circumstance or for that matter our budget, since give the outgoings I'm not sure have even spent anything yet, to get at least one near marqee signing this window. I guess SC folks are frustrated seeing the list of possibles reducing weekly and no apparent definite bids from us for anyone in more exciting positions than Defence.

He's not a CM though. The times he's had success are playing as an AM for both Everton and United.

We are going to spend what we make from sales. Just as we have done for the last 5 years. The money is going towards the stadium.

I really don't know why our fans are suprised about this every year and then get upset about it. That's the way it is.

He puts himself about and is good for a goal or too but I think technically he's poor.

I see a few posts saying he's aggressive and physical. My interpretation of that is that he is snide and dirty.
