I cannot for the life of me see, that after Levy making such a step change in his approach to sales, actively clearing the less wanted players early, even at a loss, historically he would have tried to hold out till the last minute asking higher prices, will then go and undo all that promise by not delivering an improved option for the manager. Seems bizarre to even consider. The squad and wage bill must have been cleared for a reason, that being to bring in better calibre/more suitable options.

Not sure about that last bit - Poch has said he wants a much smaller squad and has also made it clear that those who have left were never going to be in his plans - so we're not necessarily clearing the decks for someone new.

Personally I do think we will sign one CM and one forward still, but it wouldn't be a major surprise for Poch to be quite happy with things the way they are in midfield at least, based on what he's said in the past.

I'd certainly take Cambiasso over McCarthy. Though I probably would take Rabiot first if we could get him, just because of his ceiling.

I think we'll struggle to buy three c.£15m players. We are currently £10m in the black, with only Chiriches, Lennon and Solado (c.£22-25m) as obvious disposable assets. That leaves us with a £10-13m funding gap, unless we manage to sell Dembele too.

I'm sure at the start of the window we had ITK that we had £30m on top of whatever we made from player sales to spend and that wages were more of an issue, which leads me to believe that as soon as we get Ade's wages off of our books then we'll get some incomings

Can I just say - referring to players by their initials is possibly the worst part of this transfer window. "Oh no we missed out on MS, who will we get at DM? Maybe JM coz NB and RM don't cover enough ground? MP's 4-2-3-1 has less coverage than BT!"

We aren't teenage girls on a flip phone, it's an Internet forum.. You can type Kane, Chadli, Lamela, and yes, even Berahino or N'jie.

Anyone else who really couldn't care less that this thread is for ITK and not fantasy line-ups or bigging up the player you "want" will find me of the same mind when it comes to having them post in here.

I think it came from the midfielder done itk. Cambiosso is a free agent so could mske sense that we have agreed with him in principle he's just waiting for all offers to come in.

Then again maybe not. Will not mention him again.

Well this is really good news.......let's get this one done quickly and continue this spree of outgoings.

Honestly felt the outgoings were going to be more painful and take longer than they have so i am quite pleased with the way things are going.

Is cambiasso the mystery argie that was mentioned a while back, although we need a steady head in there at 34, would he be able to play pochs high intensity game.

I have no idea. Probably best not to metion him unless we get itk. A&C don't sound happy.

Pritchard is all agreed on 4 year with year option from what I hear. Wouldn't be surprised if already signed with delayed announcement along the lines of Onomah (who agreed weeks ago). I have not heard anything to contradict that. Hope this is the case before the eggs start flying.
